[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJUzl0aFHZw[/ame], I love this fight, he looked extremely fast. This Ali would of boxed cirlces around Foreman and than knocked him out even more impressively. He would of beatin Frazier too!!!

That was a good performance too but there was too much controversay after that fight, of whether Liston took a dive or not. Liston was also past it too, not saying Ali wouldn't of still won but it takes luster out of it. That's the reason I posted the Williams fight because Ali showed a little bit of all his skills.

Yep. Rumor has it that Ali went out to the ring that night with the intent of ending matters early, because he knew that The Big Cat was only a shadow of the fighter he once was.

That being said, he was still pretty quick fisted, and could have still done some damage had he been able to connect with anything clean. Of course, Ali was so damned good that evening that Williams wasn't able to come close to making that happen, regardless of how well he was punching that evening.

This was an Ali who was coming into his prime.

No one saw a prime Ali, imo.

Ali's best performance is the first Liston fight IMO.

Cleavland Williams was never the same after being shot.

No controversy, it wasn't a dive.

The fact that some idiots thought so shouldn't take away from his performance that night.

Ali in that fight looks matured physically compared to when he arrived on the scene. He was able to still have all the incredible athletic ability he had at younger age and lighter but with a physically thicker stronger frame.

Block out Williams and just focus on Ali. It's like watching Mikhail Baryshnikov of HW boxing

It's almost unbelievable to think that Ali was a heavyweight judging by the way his feet move, outstanding

If there wasn't something fishy going on in that fight, then I'd seriously have to call Sonny's chin into question here. I mean, seriously call into question his chin.

I believe something was up, myself. Not saying Ali had a hand in it or even knew about it, but there is considerable circumstantial evidence to suggest that something was up.
