SOMEBODY Has Finally Agreed to Fight DMITRY "WHITE CHOCOLATE" PIROG (!)

That line of thought was true years ago when allmost all champions were americans, but things have changed. Champions are from all over the world and championship fights are often being held in their home countries because that's where their fans are. In this world market, you can't expect the US promoters to be the only ones who can make big championship fights.

Pirog's already won his title in the US and I certainly won't blame him if he doesn't fight there 100% of the time. People are talking about home cooking when fights are being held in europe, but every country is bad in this department and the US is certainly not any better. You've got to put yourself in other people's shoes to understand this.

 

Has he beaten his cancer?

Last I heard he'd put weight back on and was sparring again, I don't know much more than that, sorry.

He had/has spinal cancer, so Boxing is very dangerous for him.

It's a fact he'll fight him anywhere, but that he's only in a position to make an offer for a fight in Russia. What's so hard to understand about this? If they fight in the US, it'll be a LDB card bankrolled by HBO, it sure won't be financed by Pirog's promoter.

 

The fact that Gary Shaw has a piece of 3 of the 4 fighters on the card makes me think it will inevitably be sparsely attended.

I wonder if Titov tried to make a Khurtsidze fight before going to Ishida; that would be a much better opponent in my opinion.

 

And Pirog's best win is just slightly better then Hearns.

I never seen someone get so overrated for one fight and he was losing no less. Everyone is ducking him but yet his only notable win is over a prospect that everyone said was overrated and alot of people predicted him to lose to the unknown Pirog. But now everyone is running scared? How about Pirog actually try and get in position for big fights by winning against a top 10 fighter and not in his shithole country.

 

So pwill is shot and Lara didn't look "that great". And Pirog lets his fist do the talking yet he only has one notable win over a prospect.

 

I would considering that Pirog did nothing in rounds 1, 3 and 4. Jacobs didn't do anything great but he did something and that's all he had to do.

Pirog had a good 2nd round and the big right in the 5th..... that's his only highlights of the fight. You people are such sheep you can't even judge a fight clearly.

I understand the hurt feelings, Jacobs was sold as the best thing out of BK since Tyson.

 

Im sure that the undisputed middleweight champion is dying to run to Russia to have a fight he can only win by ko.

And Pirog could easily get fights but he thinks that only the top of the division are good enough for him.... oh unless complete bums that he knows won't beat him.
