    Usher as Sugar Ray!?

    Gay.

    This film has the possibilty to be incredible, and not from a boxing perspective. Poverty, 1970s New York, violence, hedonistic lifestyle etc.

    De Niro as Ray Arcel - thumbs up

    Gael Bernal as Duran - im nervous

    whats wrong with usher as Sugar Ray?

    I'd imagine its not a major role in the movie apart from just the boxing sequences and 1 or 2 smack talking scenes. Also, Will Smith did a good job as Ali, no reason why usher cant do a decent job as Ray Leonard.

    De Niro needs a big performance some of recent stuff has been shocking.

    this better be good I'd hate to see an all time great p4p number 5 being shown up badly on the screen

    I thought I'd read somewhere that Pacino was playing Arcel, looks more like him than DeNiro
