My point is Kosta Tszyu beat Zab worse than Khan did. Also he was getting out boxed initially then started to find his range and came on strong towards the end of the round.

How old are you? About hate! :patsch

    Just for you:

Seems I was spot on, with my prediction wasnt I! Satisfied now? :good

Kotelynk was in his prime but who did he beat exactly? his biggest win was Maidana too (by the skin of his teeth) and he lost to Junior Witter. To repeat my point Khan hasn't beaten anyone worth anything in their prime.

Whether he was in the mix to fight Mayweather/Pacquiao doesn't matter much now does it, because he didn't take care of business when he should have and now he is having to rematch Peterson.

BTW Peterson will beat him in the rematch, not because he is better than Khan but because he has a better attitude to boxing and when he lost to Bradley instead of blaming every man in a hat! :hey He went back to the drawing board and made IMPROVEMENTS to his game.

Khan should have taken note and instead of you accusing me of be fueled by hate because I don't agree with you, maybe you should encourage your guy to improve too, then you won't have to make threads like this!

What is it with READING on this forum, can you please tell me where I said they are on the SAME level??? :patsch

I don't even need to show Mayweathers resume in comparison to Khans to show that while you are correct Khan is above Kell Brook Mayweather is WAY WAY WAY above Khans.

The fact remains he wants a big money fight with Mayweather and didn't mind calling him out at EVERY opportunity however when Kell Brook (who wants the same shot) calls him out he gets upset.....There is a word for that behavior I think it's called hypocrisy! :good

Zab was not the aggressor in this fight like he usually is.
It was clear that he was more concerned to defend himself, and forgot to attack.
    Unlike last Saturday ...

He is really good boxer, he does him self no favours at all, his attitude is crap. What worries me to be fair, is that when he watches himself back does he not see what a pratt he makes of himself. ? I cant get my head round it!!. Team Khan, GBP,.. all in fairyland, floating around in the clouds blowing "big me up" smoke up his ass :rasta. Its sad thing it really is,. Leave boxing to the boxers, .. leave coaching to the coach and leave promoting to the promoters. :good

please keep this brainless speaking idiot away from the mic, he's f*kin embarrasing... Infact, stop putting this tw*t on sky,!! he keeps popping up now!.. there sat in the box next thing "let go over to Amir Khan and Ian Darke" . .WTF... oh f*kin ell noooooo... !!! there he is,.. again... !!:|:|

mind you, nice to have a bit of comedy now and again...:!:

Unfortunately this is very true. Boxing has always been a blue collar sport and as such generally attracts a certain subset of society with well ingrained prejudices. Our racists are just too politically correct and therefore tend to label Khan as arrogant rather than express why they really dislike him

    Thanks LB.:good
I'd like to make something clear here.My dislike for Khan(personality wise only) stems from a similar reason to the one which affects my disdain for Zab Judah.I bought into both quite heavily so to see them go through complete transformations in personality(at least publicly) was quite disappointing.
When Amir won the silver,I found myself in a situation and environment where Asian people were in a far smaller minority than a similar place in say,England.i found it very heartening that many people whom I would expect to be very intolerant, actually got right behind Amir and most of the community I was in watched all the fights and supported him to a far greater extent than I would ever have thought possible.
Around a year later, around the 7/7 aftermath,Khan displayed admirable maturity beyond his years and was shaping up to be a fabulous role model for all groups of young people in the UK.
I admit he was going down in my estimations even before he participated in the farcical defeat:)nono) of my all time #2,Marco Antonio Barrera:fire but his conduct following his move to LA lurched from one PR shitstorm to another.
I know it must be hard to ignore,I really appreciate that, but at least here on ESB,don't give any credence to anyone who hates Khan purely because of his ethnicity. It is not a valid reason on any reasonable mind.
He's just an annoying little ****.:good
(Don't want to sound too preachy,so a bit of(poor) sixth form humour to end with.)

Quick question about the point deductions here--

Is there an actual RULE that says a Ref MUST "officially" warn a guy that the next foul will get a point deduction or is it more of a guideline or courtesy?

If it's not an actual rule, then I would say that Khan received plenty of warning that he could lose a point.

When people bring up the point deductions, why do they seem to ignore the BS knockdown as well that cost Peterson a point?

hmmm interesting, after reading these comments, it seems like Khan is the Mayweather of the UK. Very Popular but very hated by his own country and mostly gets suppport from his own people and outside countries.

people say hes hated because hes an *******, but Carl Froch is also an ******* but doesnt get as much hate in the UK. i have a new found respect for Khan...... still not a fan tho and Peterson gonna tap that ass again :yep

The truly major flaw with Amir Khan is his inability to fight up close. In 12 rounds it's fantasy land to think that you can keep a guy off you, especially if you don't carry the kind of hardware to put people off running at you like a homicidal maniac. He's great at long range, but he should have learned a big, big lesson after Maidana. Unfortunately I've yet to see any real evidence that those lessons have been learned.

Khan is not the Mayweather of the UK, he would have you believe he doesn't get support from the UK however he gets ALOT of support.

Carl Froch however is an ******* too, BUT he is willing to face any and everybody and although he has come up short a few times continues to face the best.

Consider when Froch lost against Ward, OK he was dissappointed but he didn't kick up a fuss, he said he (Ward) was better at infighting and thats something I needed to work on.

Now that is an attitude I can support, not to mention Carl gets ZERO support from the UK he can barely even get his fights televised in the UK. No one showed his fight with Jermain Taylor and no one was interested in showing Froch vs Kessler - why?

Even though EVERY single fight he has he tries to get in Nottingham for his home fans.

While Khan on the other hand had deals in place with ITV then sky PPV (but bitched when his viewing figures were low and they pulled the plug) he still managed to secure PPV on another channel can't remember the name now (maybe Primetime), he regularly commentates for Sky too, been on Jonathan Ross, interviewed by the BBC. Khan gets ALOT of exposure that Carl Froch deserves too but he don't get, so whats the excuse for Carl??

Khan has it good, in terms of support, revenue and fans. He and his fans just think he is hard done by thats all!
