Favourite first round from a fight, favourite second round from a fight, favourite third round....

I hope you get the point.

Hopefully some interesting fights I've never seen will be brought up due to this.

I think the context of a round is important so not having the rounds that come before it can ruin the magnitude of it.

    Gatti - Ward (1) : round 9

    Repeat X12 or X25

    LOL @ "manbearpig"

Because of that episode, I can never look at Al Gore the same way.

    Terrific list (and memory), mate.

I'd substitute Ali-Frazier 1's 11th round for yours, and Matt Franklin (Saad Muhammad)-Richie Kates round 6 for yours, but I can't argue the rest. I MIGHT like Jorge Castro-John David Jackson 1 for round 9, with an amazing KO reversal in what was already a good round anyway, but I won't ever argue against a Ward-Gatti 1 round.

Maybe Leonard-Hearns 1 for round 13; it wasn't an amazing round, but it was a reversal of the fight plus a memorable flurry and memorable ATTEMPT to KO Hearns, which didn't happen until the next round.

    A top round 14 -- ?? Maybe Saad-Lopez II or Arguello-Mancini? Yeah, I know, both were lop-sided.

SOME ROUND from Matt Franklin-Marvin Johnson 1 belongs somewhere on this list!

I didn't put any rounds in which the fight ended...if I did, I think I'd have Corrales-Castillo 1 round 10 (Shavers-Williams is another great round 10), and McKinney-Ncita 1 round 11. That round doesn't get mentioned much, but McKinney looked done, some refs would've figured he was quitting an stopped it, but he somehow came back.

Agree with Castro-Jackson 1 round 9 being a great one, like the above rounds, Castro looked close to being done.

Saad-Johnson 2 round 8 is one of my favorites. The first fight was probably a better fight but I kind of like the rematch better, maybe the film quality, or it being a world title fight, but for whatever reason I like it more. Saad was throwing everything in the book, he was almost too tired to even celebrate.
