Rahman is shot, out of shape and isn't really top-30 HW right now.
That being said, if he shows up in decent shape and lands his right on the Povetkin's chin, it could be over.

It looks like mismatch, but Povetkin also isn't good - he lost his last fight and was hurt a few times by cruiserweight.

I feel for betting, this is a great fight that would not go the distance. Rahman won't win a decision, so if he wins it is by KO, and Povetkin can probably take Rahman out if Rahman is not in shape. I say it goes into the late rounds.

Rahman has been shot and even if he comes in shape Povetkin should beat him, coming in fat only makes Povektin's job easier. I've always thought Rahman was a solid heavyweight and put together some decent-good wins in his career outside of the big Lewis ko, but no way does he deserve this mandatory fight.

Povetkin is really putting together a less than stellar string of title defenses. Rahman is shot and probably not even a top 40 guy anymore, Boswell may have cracked the top 20 but thats debatable, and Huck(who I thought Povektin did barely beat) isn't a bad win but is totally unproven at heavy. Povetkin really needs to face a top 10 fighter next but I'm starting to think he might become the Felix Sturm of the heavyweight division.

I'd really like to believe that, but with the division in its current shape, it's entirely plausible he could get another shot somewhere down the line! :patsch

    I scored Povetkin-Huck a draw.

I see Povetkin cruising to a wide decision in this one. Hopefully the Huck fight motivated him to train harder.

Stupid fight specially after the Boswell fight. Povetkin warms up to what seems to be inevitable and that is his meeting with Wladimir and Rahman with be outfought inside and outside. Does "The Rock" have a punching chance? Everybody has, even Marco Huck had in that sixth round, didn't he with those unorthodoz right hammering?

Can't disagree with that too much either. Wlad's nearing the end of his prime years and he squandered it away somehow waiting on Haye last year and fighting guys that really don't deserve title shots or have even a shot at winning like Mormeck and Thompson.

The scandal isn't that Povetkin faces Rahman but that he isnt fighting the real champ Wlad.
