There was talk of this being Rios' first fight at 140 when he stepped up, would have been an easy fight to make as they are both with Top Rank.

Both have fan friendly styles and it would likely be a real war, plus both are undefeated.

    Who wins?

Rios would be killing himself to make weight. This would be a very entertaining fight, a Better matchup than Gamboa at 135. In my opinion anyway.

Rios kills himself to make 135, he'd make 140 pretty easily I think

Would be a good fight. Both of them are warriors.

Who you think would win ? I think Rios would take him out in the late rounds, Prescott was destroying Alvarado early on and out-boxing him easily in the middle rounds, I had every round to Prescott before the epic turnaround from Alvarado in the last round.

If Rios can shake off Mike's shots early on - making him still well preserved for the later rounds where Mike can come on strong - then I can see him getting a decision, and maybe even a stoppage depending on how his own power carries up to 140 (which I'm sure it will do).

I think Rios would have a large portion of this fight as he pleases , therefore i see Alvarado battered into submission late on

I agree with the poster that said this would be a better fight than Rios-Gamboa, Gamboa is just way too small to hang in there with Rios.

It would be a Inside war, filled with uppercuts. Hope this fight happens someday

would be a war.... dont know if Rios' power would translate up, he might end up being a spam mauler like Baby Bull Diaz

Still, Alvarado didnt look that great in one of his recent fights, and if Rios can maintain pressure and stay in the inside, he might wear down Mike's fighting spirit down and get a win in. If Alvarado uses his footwork, he can also maintain spacing and drop down with power. The key of the fight will be whether Rios can stay in the inside or not...
