    New England's favorite overachieving bum caught a huge break tonight, facing Murder Mitchell instead of Camacho Jr.

    Camacho would probably have shut him out as easily as he should shut out Mitchell.

    Mitchell swings hard overhand rights coming forward while holding his left arm in a crook down at his hip. Ayala backs out, circles left, and paws with his jab. Mitchell hops side to side, spry for 42 years old, and jabs from the hip. 1-2 by Ayala from the outside. Mitchell falls in while exchanging jabs from mid range and lands a big arcing rainbow right to the face of Ayala, making him blink. Mitchell sweeps out a few hooks down low and just brushes the belt line of Ayala. Lead jabs and hooks from outside by Mitchell, as Ayala hangs back. Up-jabs from Ayala, not willing to take the lead for long. Mitchell edges to his left and sweeps out another body hook. Ayala suddenly comes lunging in with a wide three punch combo, slapping at the left hip and right side/back of Mitchell.

    Williams controled the pace of the round, had some good bod work, while Ayala seemed content to look on the outside.
