Teddy Atlas has ****ed up so many times, who is he to act all high and mighty criticsizing mistakes anyone else makes? Two years ago, when he first took over Povetkin, he staged an illegal bout with a suspended fighter as Povetkin's opponent (Bruce Seldon) had an audience, a referee, and judges, but claimed it was just a sparing session. He still thinks he can be some sort of super commissioner of boxing.
Teddy is the ****ing idiot. He don't know **** about boxing, just cause he has friends who are reporters and writers he gets good press. Guy is a dick, form way back. He never developed any fighter, lies about his role with Tyson, and just tries to sell himself when commenting on fights.
Teddys a don i dunno why he gets so much hate on here, yeah his predictions might suck but he's a character
yup, teddy's great for the sport and especially the casuals, dude's a character and comes accross how you'd expect a tough guy, former fighter and trainer from nyc. much better for the casuals than yuppies like Lampley, Papa, Bernstein etc....
Go ahead, hit your computer. Nothing is wrong with me, I know Atlas to be a scum bag and phony from way back. I never got close to him, but knew people who did, plus the stuff that makes it through his media buddies into the news. Every fighter he worked with hates him, many mangers hate him too, including some who gave him first break, like Dave Wolf, or the late Cus D'Amato, who came to hate him. Simon Brown (2 fights, sent Atlas packing) Tyrone Trice (2 days, dumped Atlas) Donny La Londe (13 months, still calls it set back to career) Michael Grant Elvir Murqui Shannon Briggs Kevin Rooney You have a lot of faces to punch, start training *******.
I missed the KD too....but in slow mo it definitely shows James going down from a clean punch and was not a slip.... I don't have an agenda. But I'm interested in what you think my "agenda" is.
teddy is all things in this thread. a self promoting windbag with more failure than success training, but to his credit he does at least point out some of the glaring problems/corruption with the sport. he's also more entertaining than a lot of other commentators and sometimes more annoying. mixed bag
