    Averlant reaches over with his jab. Gutknecht throws some jabs and rights while drifting to his left, luring Averlant in. The Frenchman has no choice but to watch Gutknecht disappear on the horizon or surrender his height by marching in. Gutknecht is setting traps, jumping to either side and throwing short combos. Hooks up top by Gutknecht, blocked. Averlant is lining up a 1-2 but not finding Gutknecht's head cleanly. Heavy hooks by Gutknecht, putting three together and just bashing away on Averlant's arms and right shoulder. Averlant's right eye is puffed up from a few Gutknecht jabs getting through. They jab together as Gutknecht steps in close, and the champ lands better.

    Gutknecht is slapping in with hooks. Averlant is focusing on defense, not throwing much back but a few jabs which he doesn't have room to fully extend. Gutknecht is up in his chest, hooking away chest-high. Averlant is catching shots on the upper arms and missing his jabs at close range. Gutknecht steps out and then catapults himself back inside. Gutknecht is much more accurate with the jab in the phonebooth. Hard right up top by Gutknecht, gets Averlant dancing back to the ropes. Averlant tries to grab at Gutknecht and falls to the floor. No KD.

    Averlant is reaching across with right hands and catching Gutknecht on the face from outside. Gutknecht jogs back and shakes some blood into his arms, keeping his guard mostly tight. Whipping rights from outside by Averlant. Double jab by Averlant, sidestepped by Gutknecht. They jab together and both land. Hook from mid range by Gutknecht. Averlant flicks some long jabs from the hip coming forward. Another whipping right. Gutknecht backs up and pops a high left jab. Now Gutknecht steps forward with it. 1-2 by Gutknecht. Averlant bounces off the ropes. Averlant now takes his turn, whipping at Gutknecht's face with hooks and rights. Uppercut to the body from outside by Gutknecht. Whipping long body shots by Averlant, leaning in. Jab and cross by Gutknecht thrown high and wide, miss.
