I said he was nothing special from when he was undefeated. Has never shown me much, but was aesthetically pleasing enough that he was bound to get unwarranted hype.

This Thompson guy looks interesting, good puncher and was always aggressive good fight him vs De Marco

I remember a thread on Linares after his fight with DeMarco. Even after that loss he was being heralded as a slickster.

I quite like Linares, though, as you say - he does have an eye-pleasing style.

It was an eliminator so I assume Thompson is now his mandatory.

Flea! We've done it! The ''aesthetically pleasing with little substance'' prophecy appears to have come true.

 On the downside Santa Cruz/Malinga would have been on the Linares/DeMarco II undercard...

They'll have to find another spot for it now.

Has anyone seen any close up pic's of the cut? I couldn't see it clearly, and I thought it slightly strange how it was waved off so quickly.

Linares style is easy on the eye, but he looked like **** against Thompson.

    He didn't really look interested.

Linares did not look at the races in any way, shape or form here, maybe he doesn't want to face DeMarco :yep

Don't think it's an issue of chin, he didn't look that hurt their and took a fair few shots. Seems to be more an issue of heart, he didn't seem fussed when it was stopped over the cut.

Personally I thought the stoppage was too early as well, didn't look that bad a cut, but Linares looked disinterested.
