I dont get how 95% of the boxing fans and Mosley think Cotto was running from him at the end of the fight. Cotto was using what we call La defensa, the defense. I read some posters saying they hate Cottos defense because he doesnt throw punches when backing up but what about when he knocks them out frio, cold? Was Cotto running when he flipped Clottey upside down and made Zudah reunite with the canvas?

Who cares how he did it, cotto pulled off a close win, and it was one of his best.

Yes, he was running. And I didn't think he won that fight. I'm not a judge though. The judges awarded him the decision despite him running at the end of the fight.

Cotto did what he had to do when he was in trouble which is a good sign that he can adapt when in trouble. It was a close tough fight but Cotto won it.

Irrelevant ******s claiming he "ran" know nothing about defense and movement in the sport, these clowns should stick to UFC and die there.

I disagree wholeheartedly. And I'm not sure why so many on this forum think that their opinion is the end all that be all; so much so that everyone that disagrees with them is an idiot and doesn't know anything.

There's a difference between running and fighting off the back foot and knowing the difference is crucial if you want to be taken seriously as a boxing fan. He fought off the back foot in the end of the Mosley fight and he ran against Pacquiao. Big difference. He also beat Mosley. Yes. He beat Mosley. He beat Mosley. Didn't Mosley only start claiming he thought he won much later? He'd beat Mosley again if they fought at any time afterward too.

He didnt run from Pacquiao. He was using what we call old school defense. Cotto was setting up Pac for a counter punch but Pacquiao never committed to attacking Cottos body.

Cotto is literally jogging backwards in the 12th, and Shane is jogging after him.

I agree I thought he totally gave the fight away by running at the end in a super close fight. ACTUALLY RUNNING, back against the ropes and shuffling along.

he was mobile but stood in the pocket at times and came forward at times in the 12th

it wasnt til like the last 30 seconds that he was really in retreat back peddle mode where Mosley was really chasing him

but i dont think it was cause he was hurt or anything i think he thought it was in the bag or he was instructed to
