Will we ever see a peek-a-boo style fighter again?

In any weight class? IMO there are only 3 people in the world qualified to teach the original D'amato style. Keven rooney, Teddy atlas, mike tyson.

Rooney is an alcoholic and doesn't talk to anyone
Mike Tyson shows 0 interest in boxing especially teaching boxing
Teddy atlas doesn't teach his fighters the peek a boo

probably will see it, but not anyone as dominant as Tyson was at it. That style takes a lot of discipline.

Hard style to make work. Dangerous style to make work.

Look at what these two D'Amato fighters had:

Jose was one of D"Amato as well

But I like Tyson and Patterson the most,

Overall, you have a better chance to find the right athlete in the lower weight classes.

I think it suits a specific body type better (short, short reach, and muscular)

    This.

<<<< Vasyl Lomachenko in my AV. Oleksandr Usyk uses it too but doesn't bob and weave as much since he's 6'3.

I was thinking the same the other day. It is a lost art. Especially with Roney and Atlas practically retired. Cus D'Amato was a special person really.

Great thread Kevin Rooney and Teddy Atlas were groomed by the greatest trainer heads shoulds above the rest Cus Damato to train the bob weave peeak a boo style. Why more fighters dont seek there service I dont know?

What I am tired of is every shorter fighter getting hit by nonstop jabs from the taller fighter for 12 rounds because no shorter fighters knows how to slip the jab any more.

I watched the clip and heard great thing about lomenchenko but did not see the peek-a-boo style . . . did I miss something? He is definatly a hot prospect cannot wait for him to turn pro after London.

^ ive heard it is extremely hard to get into contact with rooney and he has fallen deep into alcoholism and depression. I don;t think he even trains his son.
