He says that it's 'very confirmed', then he says that the only things needed are that the contracts be signed and 'official confirmation'.

Hellyeah! He says it's super duper confirmed :happy

That all contracts are ready and he just needs to sign them and send them back.

They also asked him if he thinks if there could be more roadblocks ahead this time, given how the WBC has failed him before

Martinez' says there wont be more roadblocks because Top Rank, Arum and Co. finally agreed to the match

¨WBC ordered the fight and TR accepted it, the psychological work i've been doing for so many months calling Chavez coward and stuff finally paid up, I think I made a brutal work because they agreed to everything, Chavez Sr. was the first to agree and that was very important to me, at that point the match was practically made¨

    Did Jr. accepted the OSDT?:hat

I doubt it. They're trying to get Chavez Jr. in there with Andy Lee in June. It seems like the reason they are making that bout is to see how Jr. looks against a lefty. Now if he loses, obviously a Martinez bout is off. But what if he looks bad and gets a furtuitous decision? Would Top Rank then be willing to turn around and put him in there with Martinez in September? I doubt it. So I don't see Top Rank having any type of agreement for Jr. to face Martinez unless Jr. looks good against Lee first.

Why would he have too?:nono He's the Champion. He's the $$$$$ draw. The cards are in his favor. He doesn't need Martinez at this point, but it's really the other way around.

MOF, this is really a lose lose fight for Jr. If he wins, he beat a fading, faded, Martinez who he outwieghed by 30lbs. (Martinez will likely try to be around 157 fightnight/show Floyd he is a LMW:nut). If he loses, even in a close decision or late stoppage, he's a complete hypejob. This is the worst case scenario, but also the most likely scenario.

I'm a fan of Jr, but I don't think his chances at beating Martinez are all that great. But for sure he does have some intangibles to get it done, and if Martinez thinks he can give away rounds like he did vs Macklin, he'll be in for a rude awakening. As a JR fan, this is what Im hoping for.:good

It should also be worth mentioning that Chavez is having promotional issues with Arum. There are far too many complicated things going on behind the scenes for this fight to be agreed just like that.

So don't get too happy, guys. Disappointment awaits.

Well Martinez seems 100% sure, he says the fight is ¨Yes or Yes¨

    Martinez:

¨I'll begin my training in July 15th, and sincerely, I cant wait to fight Chavez, I'm super motivated, really pumped up and very happy, It's a fight that I really want, it's more important for me than the title or anything else for that matter, what really matters to me is to have Chavez in front of me in the ring¨

:bbbOh boy, Sergio really wants to hurt the guy

Well, Sergio doesn't mention the OSDT at all, but at the same time he says ¨they agreed to everything¨...he also sounds very confident and happy which makes me think Chavez' really agreed to his demands.

This will be the signature fight for Chavez, the one fight Chavez cant refuse, he needs to fight Sergio to legitimate himself as a real champion, period. I think we'll see a different Jr. for this match, a very focused one, better prepared than ever, one that could very well pull the upset.
