"Seen" it somewhere. Night before Pac/Bradley and then a "big fight" in the fall. No promise of 160 yet, but that is the goal.

Pretty much the same from the local paper.

Thats great he is staying busy. I heard in his traing camp he just finished he only missed one day trainig in 3 months. From what I heard from Jack Loew Pavlik was not in good shape when he left Yongstown. Jack Loew said he had not been in the Gym since the trainig for Cunning Ham. So I think Pavlik is just starting to get his strength back. This next 3 months Pavlik should be able to get back to full strength.

I just updated the article with a link to the local paper. Says much the same thing but more detail.

Barring the unexpected, Pavlik (38-2, 33 KOs) will continue his comeback on June 8 to headline an ESPN2 card at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It comes one night before the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley bout on HBO pay-per-view.

“It’s still a little too early [for an opponent] but they want me to go beat up the guy who was talking and running his mouth ... what’s his name, Cujo,” said Pavlik, who was coming off a 111/2-month layoff. “I think they’ll pick someone a little more [challenging] than him, then I’ll fight a September fight.”

“Nothing surprised me,” Jaco told the paper. “Nothing except that power. He really, really hits hard, man.”

By the time that September fight comes if Pavlik keeps up his intensity in the gym he will be sharper then he has been in a long long time I think.

Do you know anything about Keith Burnsides Gym? I know the Ironman Warehouse he trains at looks like they do a lot of great physical training. Last interview I saw with Jack Loew he said Pavlik is not welcome at his gym.

I know Billy Lyell trains there. Jsimps would know more about the gym. Maybe he will pipe up in this thread and answer questions. I really don't know much personally about Keith.

Abraham v Pavlik is the fight that makes the most sense imo.

I guess he will be training there sometimes inbetween fights. Do you know anything about Pavlik moving out to Oxnard with his wife and kids soon? Seems kind of weird to only see them after a fight for a couple weeks and then go live in a hotel in Oxnard for three months and train.

Good weekend for boxing. Kelly Pavlik on Friday Night Fights then the big PPV. Between KP and the Pac hype there should be plenty of viewers for FNF.

Pavlik vs Edwin Rodriguez will happen I think. Maybe on the Martinez-JCC jr undercard.

PM jsimps. He might have more of this kind of info. I'm not sure how much he knows right now with Kelly out of town.

i'm gonna be surprised if he can get down to 160. he looked pretty filled out and thick across the back this past weekend. bute and froch had a two fight deal right? kessler is moving up it seems....

i can see arum putting pav/jcc at a catch weight. jcc is having a hard time with 160 as well. also, when kelly puts him to sleep...and he will...jcc won't lose his belt.
