    Minor Coincidence

I think the fact that some justice has been served trumps the guys last name

I bet that extra ten years will really pass by slowly.

You already pointed it out in the OP. It's a cool twist of fate, I don't think anyone has much more to add to it than that. :good

:deal Flip a switch and save years of room and board expenses. I thought the South would have the balls to put down its murderers. This is a California-esque sentence.

Tbh, from what America's prisons sound like, I'd prefer the death sentence than life without parole.

For a scumbag like that jail isn't exactly punishment, it's a safe haven. This is a scumbag thief living in the streets and they're putting him in a damn cell with meals every day, that's a hotel if anything for a piece of trash like that.

Scum like that should be put to death immediately, I don't think there's anything that could happen to this fart within prison that he hasn't experienced in his worthless life already. Even so, I'm sure the security won't allow it to go far enough.

Don't be surprised if this scumbag is released after 20 years.

I was surprised to find out a while back it actually costs more to execute the SOB's because of the expense of their automatic legal appeals.

I guess you're right, it depends on conditions in there.

We both obviously want nothing but the worst for the POS.

I'd just like to believe that there are going to be a lot of dudes in there (especially in Vernon's home state) who were either diehard fans of his or just knew of & respected him as a guy who came up from poverty as a fighter and then gave back to his community and especially the kids. Even a lot of hardened cons usually have some kind of honor, and it's hard to think that his killer is going to have a nice time in there or avoid some pretty intense retribution if any Viper fans get their hands on him.

If he's heavily guarded or it's like a resort in there, then yeah - it's a bull**** sentence.

Anybody know about the place Ware is serving? Is it a max-sec shithole known for lots of inmate-on-inmate (and CO-on-inmate) violence? Hopefully..

From what i know of Vernon, he probably wouldnt have wanted his murderers to get a death sentence, but life in prison with no parole is a fitting sentence. Unfortunately, there can never be complete justice in these cases. At least not in this world. Vernon Forrest was and continues to be a great champion. He touched a lot of lives and helped a lot of people. RIP champ. We love and miss you.

it works so if down the road years later, he tries to appeal or fight the sentence, they can still keep him locked up. if he gets anything over turned

Vernon Forrest is one of the classiest gentlemen to ever grace the ring.....he was a dude that did everything right in and outside of the ring. My only regret is that I never ever got a chance to meet him, as a fan I am truly inspired. If more boxers were like him boxing would be on another plateau.
