I think Ali would stop Wlad, after outboxing and clowning him.

Ali, would win. There is little doubt about that. But whats the point posting shitty rants like this anyway? ESB could do with more people who actually debates boxing, not hightailing teenagers who cant get laid.

To T.S.: nice to get a reminder of those epic fights :good

Ah, well. I think I will try to be content looking forward to Bute vs Froch and Floyd vs Cotto. I think both the fights and the analyzes will be interesting:bbb

A good big man beats a good little man. And contrary to popular belief Ali was not hard to hit and a boxer just can't afford to get hit often as Ali did by someone with Wladimirs power.

Meanwhile prime Wladimir no one is hardly laying a glove on and add to that Ali was no power puncher. Things look pretty bleak for Ali winning the fight or even going the distance.

Both like to hold, neither much of an infighter. This fight may be a lot like Ali-Terrell, but with more danger for Ali. Wlad would score with an occasional shocking punch or combo, but isn't quick or nimble enough to score on Ali consistantly enough to get a kayo. Liston, Shavers and Foreman all caught Ali flush, could not finish him off, and all lost. Doubt if Wlad would be able to finish off a stunned Ali either.
There would be a lot of grappling intermingled with sudden bursts of movement and punches from Ali, just as in the Terrell fight.
Wlad would be beat to the punch all night. Ali wasn't ususally knocking guys flat as much as slowly punching them goofy.
Wlad may last 12, but certainly not 15, either way, Ali wins.

I said a prime Ali, he wasn't in his prime anymore when he fought Foreman and Shavers.

No, it's not a shocker. Ali was a much better fighter than Wlad and I'm sure Wlad would agree with that.

The fact I said it doesn't mean it's not true.
