He wouldn't embarrass himself, Wlad is a quality fighter to be sure and he'd give it a credible effort. He's just not on Ali's level, and a prime Ali beat better fighters than Wlad without too much of a problem really. Liston's jab was longer and harder than Wlad's and he was and is widely considered to have one of the best jabs the game has ever seen. Just because you can't catch Ali with a punch doesn't mean you don't know how to throw a punch. Wlad wouldn't do any better.

My point is that it is very hard to get close to Wlad in order to land big shots on him unless the opponent is ready and willing to endure big punishment while doing so.
