Honestly I was never big on him when he was coming up as a prospect....the square stance, Arm punches, leaky defense i wrote him off.....As time went on he actually improved showed good handspeed, and educated body attack for a young gun, some head movement...

.so im thinking dude will be an ESPN fighter and decent contender for sure but I never thought he'd unify belts at 135. No shame in him losing two times to an all-time great, Nate Campbell was a very good fighter in his prime, and Malignaggi was a new weight and he had already shown difficulties with boxers or cute fighters.

I think he is only 28-29 so he hasnt fought in a while maybe 2 years should be rested I think he has what it takes to reclaim the lightweight title against the current crop of guys or make some noise at 140 where he will make big fights.

Marquez ruined him...went from taking shots from Popo Freitas to being wobbled by Paulie ****in' Mallignaggi.

He's retired. I don't think he should come back. He took a lot of punishment in his short career and he has his eyes set on other ventures. I think he should pursue them with the same determination and drive he showed as a fighter.

yea your right....its just me being a selfish fan...he grew on me over time i use to be hard on him, then he became one of my favorite fighters....his last few fights have been wars and his punch resistance may not be the same. He does have a degree and is stilll young and seems real mature now.

He had a great career. He was an over achiever, and has a nice resume. He was a Featherweight fighting at Lightweight, and beat some very good lightweights.

Good fighter. Came to fight and entertain and had tons of heart. He retired at the right time. He never really got hurt, iirc, except against JMM, and Marquez had to work hard for that KO.

He's probably a lawyer right now. as far as fighting, no she should stay retired unless he's going to fight c- level fighters. Theres no big pay days for him in boxing. he's better off being a lawyer or finding a job in the field of law
