Exactly. This will not be a one sided fight. It's one of the more interesting fights that could have been made with a prime Mayweather -- though one fighter needs illegal wraps to make it interesting.

This right here^ I have always said that Margarito @ 147 (right around when Floyd fought Baldomir), would have gave Floyd all he can handle.
Floyd would have gone through a war, no doubt.

But then again, its a good thing Floyd did not fight Margacheato. When the smoke cleared, Margo was not worthy and could have possibly damaged Floyd's career.

If you go back in time to that time of Margaritos prime, maybe I agree with this. Not saying Margarito would've won easy but I reckon it may have been close, not easy to call. We all know how important mindset is going into a training camp and pre fight. Just maybe Margarito had got in his head. (He looks like one of those Los Zetas hitmen:lol:).

Remember this video from when Margarito was making noise. I think he'd got in Floyd's head at that time. (forward past uncle Bob to.48secs).

Paul Williams beat a Margarito with plaster...don't see why Floyd couldn't.

Seriously, PW is a completely different fighter than Floyd. Taller, bigger, longer, throws an extreme amount of punches. Not even close, try again.

Yea it has nothing to do with any of that..try again:patsch

Floyd is way more skilled and gets hit much less than Williams. His footwork is better and the look he gives his opponent is much more in depth than Williams.

Yea try again....:!:......Then Paul got outboxed by an average boxer in Carlos Quintana.:deal

    Yea try again:nono

Floyd is a very defense first minded fighter. When you have an iron chinned fighter that continually comes at you with relentless punches and lands wherever he possibly can, your in for a rough night. I dont care who you put in there. That plus, Floyd's brittle hands at the time might have very well been broken over Margo's concrete head. Margo would have made Floyd work really hard for a 12rd decision. Floyd would take some punishment along the way, possibly with plaster too. Floyd is skilled, Floyd is faster, Floyd is....yeah I already know that...obviously. But fact is, most people at the time this fight was proposed found it to be a very tasty matchup. Floyd refused to fight him. For whatever reason people will believe, Floyd refused. This is a fact! I am in no way hating on Floyd either, he is one of my favorite boxers. But I am a boxing fan first and foremost, and try to look at fights through an unbiased opinion.

Margo wouldn't touch Mayweather. It would be a easy, easy victory for Floyd. People keep talking about relentless pressure. Bull****. Margo was way to slow on his feet to apply relentless pressure to May. If he had the footspeed of someone like Ricky Hatton, then that's different. But Maragrito was a overrted C+ fighter who didn't even deserve to be in the ring with Mayweather.

Floyd resfused because Margarito was a bum and it was a bad financial move. He fought the lineal champ of the division in Baldomir, and that paved the way for him to get a huge mega fight and payday against DLH. That fight doesn't happen if the stays with Top Rank.

Mayweather has beaten many fighters who were better than Margarito.

Margarito was not a bum during the time of that video that was posted. Margarito still had a good rep in the boxing world etc.. Floyd just didn't wanna fight him.. Make all the excuses you want.. Your daddy didn't want the fight. :smoke
