Lets be honest comparing him to his past performaces not to other fighters he is well above the rest...as a fan I honestly feel they are shot...I don't believe he can do what did in the Marquez fight for a FULL 12 ROUNDS.

Compare the Marquez fight to the Ortiz fight...yes he can still move a bit & styles make fights...but the legs are GONE in my opinion...

    Thoughts brothers

His legs arent shot...he is just older and a larger fighter from his lightweight days....look at who he has been fighting Ortiz, and Mosley dont do well being walked down so if he would have been on the backfoot he would have let them gain confidence

...Marquez is a counterpuncher so going forward works in his hands thus he made the counterpuncher the aggressor making him uncomfortable and taking away his best weapon

If you watch his recent fights it made since not to do all that moving....against smaller faster guys he had to move, these biggers guys he dont have to. Honestly I feel its more a change of style, tactics, and being more confident on the inside than before

Yes, they are. If Cotto can get some good leg shots in early then he has the chance to stop Mayweather late on imo.

I agree he has matured into his body and unlike his younger day when movement was a big part of game he can be more physical...however if he fights a person who will give him a bit more movent you will observe that his ability to move has greatly deteriorated...which makes sense he is 35 after all...I'm comparing him to his past performances...because to me he is the best around....shot legs or otherwise

He doesn't move like he did in his younger days but he can still get on his toes if he has too. Anyone notice how he started doing it in his live sparring session with Henry?

If his legs were 'shot', he would have went down from that second Mosley punch. 'Shot' is an overused word in boxing. His footspeed is not what it was, but his foot placement, endurance and coordination (most importantly) is still there.

I concur...that is why I never mentioned the Mosley as an example at all in thread.

they arent shot, but i agree he isnt as fast as he used to be, but he still has good footwork and spacing. He can still land lead hooks and straight rights its like as he has slowed down his timing and accuracy has increased

Wouldn't say shot, but yes, his footspeed and movement aren't even close to what they used to be.

shot would mean they are useless you idiot... they've deteriorated but they still work well so they are not "shot"

You guys throw around terms way too much... Are his legs like they were,no he is bigger and older.... Then if his legs are fine, then he is a runner, which Mayweather do you guys prefer?
