I think people are forgetting that Ali was less durable in the 60s.

I dont see why he should be a prime Frazier and possibly stop him if he couldnt stop a slightly past his best Patterson.

How has it been proved that Ali was less durable in the sixties ?

It's only that his durability was put on display more in the seventies because the likes of Frazier,Norton and Foreman were tougher than anyone he'd fought in the previous decade.

I think this point in itself is debatable, but I would say the '67 Ali was more likely to hit a guy with a shot he didn't see coming and those are the punches which get guys outta there.

Frazier and Norton are always going to be tough fights for Ali.

Joe`s ability to cut off the ring and work the body from Round 1 is always going to trouble Muhammad Ali. Close fight, depends on who`s night it is.

Norton just was a bad style matchup for Ali as well. Not sure Ali ever beat him anyway. Ken could take away Ali`s jab. Younger Ali would move more and that may give him an edge in some rounds but Norton just had the tools to go to the wire with him.

Ali probably dances against Foreman and beats him in a different way. Probably stops Shavers.

Holmes is another very close fight. Nobody is dominating a prime Larry Holmes. Not even Ali.
