    Round 4

Hard smacking left by Darchinyan charging Yamanaka into the ropes. Darchinyan stalks and holds his arms up above chin level, awkwardly turned over to the sides with his elbows jutting out in that odd prepping stance of his. Yamanaka floats by him and pops quick jabs, taking care not to remain in one spot long enough for Darchinyan to let anything fly. GOOD 1-2 by Yamanaka from outside, while moving laterally! Darchinyan lunges in with a left to the body and is dodged, grabbed, and spun away with his face aimed at the floor. Ole! Yamanaka is moving and boxing well again, like in the second. When Darchinyan gets too close for comfort, Yamanaka steps forward to slam chests with him and hold until a break is called. Darchinyan is aggressive but ineffective. Counter left by Yamanaka. Left hand lead by Darchinyan giving chase.

    10-9 Yamanaka

    38-38

    Round 5

Hard rainbow left counters by Yamanaka. Right jabs to the body. Darchinyan is flicking his own right jab up at Yamanaka's forehead but catching air. Nice short counter right hook by Yamanaka stepping around Darchinyan. Yamanaka stands in and waits for Darchinyan, hopping on his toes. Darchinyan circles right and misses with some dive-bombing left hand leads to the body. Long left up top by Yamanaka. Clinch. Darchinyan dives in with a left and eats a right hook. Darchinyan is sprinting forward now, firing hard left hands to the body repeatedly. Yamanaka is running away, then flashing in with quick counters. Headbutt. Both men are bleeding. Darchinyan dives in and is turned toward the ropes by the outstretched palms of the champ.

    48-47 Yamanaka

Yamanaka looked stunned for a moment but recovered, won 2/3rds of the rnd.

    Headbutt, Vic's cut.

    Round 6

Darchinyan comes at Yamanaka hard, spurred on by the cut. Big wide loaded-up lefts by Darchinyan, not quite connecting. The ref interrupts at a slow moment when there's some space between them and has the cut looked at. OK. Time in. Darchinyan is back to pressing the attack. Poor choice. Yamanaka is circling to his right and popping very quick flash jabs, then following up with rainbow lefts to the brow - targeting the cut. Yamanak is ducking and swooping in, holding and letting go. Darchinyan is completely unable to get into a rhythm. Yamanaka circles and pops jabs and some arcing left hand leads. Darchinyan rushes in and forces a clinch, his forearm shoved up in Yamanaka's throat.

    58-56 Yamanaka

Cards for a TD after a certain # of rounds (varies by commission, but we're almost certainly past it now. It's usually the 3rd or 4th)

OK cool. Was it ruled as a headbutt by the ref?

Vic's sloppy, lot of misses. But it only takes one punch...
