I know the real outcome of the fight where Lousi knocked vitali out , but was he actually losing the fight (vitali winning by what I mean) instead of of him, because of the cut - I happen to think that Vlitili was punching HIM harder through the rounds and was boxing him until lentali cut him illegally. History revisited & pound for times, who really could've "taken home the gold" in this fight?
hi thans for seeing my thread, hey back toa the original question who do you think would've won if this fight were really happened again (or in rematch)
I posted this to you in another thread, maybe you didn't see it, have a read. Look, I appreciate you're a massive fan of the brothers. Just this one time, please try and be objective. Those cuts were not caused by luck, they were caused because Vitali was not defending himself properly. Vitali carries his hands low and shoots from the hips, he carries his left hand especially low, often at the waist and below it. This works great against smaller opponents, the likes of Adamek, Chisora and Arreola. However, against a 6ft 5 highly skilled HW like Lennox Lewis, he will always get caught by those big overhand rights Lennox throws. Those are what caused those horrible cuts, it wasn't bad luck. He also has no inside game, even you can admit that, and that's why he got hit with some brutal uppercuts. If Lennox was prime, showing up at 247 pounds and in great shape, he will beat Vitali the majority of times, of course Vitali still has a punchers chance (Mccall and Rahman). Vitali got Lennox at the right time, he was unmotivated, and out of shape, don't show me any quotes, he looked overweight and really uncoordinated. Vitali had his chance, and did great in the first two rounds, however he didn't have the power to stop Lennox. Then, Lennox proceeded to walk him down, and expose those flaws I mentioned, at times Lennox was walking right through Vitali's shots. Vitali proved his chin and toughness by riding it out, however Lennox always has his number. The stoppage was legit because Vitali was sustaining horrible punishment, Lennox is a much bigger puncher, and caused 3-4 horrific cuts, it wasn't just one cut from a lucky shot, there's 3-4 cuts there. Punch stat numbers are very important... in amateur boxing, however in a professional fight as you know it's different. I know this post won't make a difference, however fans of Vitali and the brothers need to stop mentioning this fight, and find other ways to celebrate Vitali's legacy, which is being dominant, and arguably the best HW since Lewis retired.
Good article, I think vitali was not going to win thsi fight but it interesting because HURT lennox many times and u wonder if he could hurt him enough to knock him or ktfo him, louis was poor perhaps becuase he has wife problems or he was busy but I would have love dto see these two heavy kingweight fighters to return again, I heard lnneox said he would return a few days ago is this true
I think Vitali would of won but Lewis won fdair and square, just got a bit of lucky. Voted "Lewis won fair and square" :conf
