    not sure myself if liston decided / was ordered 2 throw d fight since its beginning but supposing that he did/was , it shows that old liston didn't need 2 try hard 2 hurt d supposedly durable prime Clay . Remember Doug Jones hurt him so well in their 1st rd that only d ropes kept Ali up . That rd was and is a 10-8 rd 4 Jones .

    After that Miami Bout, 48 out of 50 Boxing Commisions yanked Sonny Liston's
    license.

    I think its generally agreed by pro and anti Clay/Ali that he was durable. I mean, wheres the evidence to suggest otherwise? Frankly, its ludicrous to question his chin and/or heart IMO

    People can argue that "Liston was trying to win" ... but only up to the point where he clearly wasn't.
