Peterson was probably 4-2 down at the halfway point (plus a KD) but won practically every round in the 2nd half..... then there was the two deductions for pushing.

I've seen people put less effort into pushing a broken down car than Khan's shove in the 12th round, his technique was near flawless too. Knees nicely bent, leant forward etc. Perfect.

114-111 for Lamont was about right. Khan ought to be able to do him in the rematch relatively comfortably, if he can't something's clearly up. Peterson fought a good fight but it wasn't anything spectacular, merely chugging into range and letting his hands go, especially to the body.

The things that Khan needs to improve on are obvious, his footwork is abysmal, as bad as Nathan Cleverly's..... and he needs to stop doing the Pacquiao ''hit me with everything you've got'' hands dropping/waving too, he's not as vulnerable as people think he is, but he's not in the Morales/Pacquiao category chinwise either.

There's a big point people r missing out. It's not as if shah said 'right were getting maxwell". Freddie looked up a couple of Maxwells fights & ok'd him. So the last decision was Freddies. Shah only suggested maxwell. Also do people seriously thunk he's gona be his ONLY sparring partner? Freddie will have a couple of his lined up.

Max may be slick and black but Khan is shite and off white.

 

Peterson will regain his belts. Khan can't pull the trigger when it comes to fighting in the pocket. Roach will tell him to fight in the middle and or when Lamont comes in with his head to upppercut/throw hooks and then regroup.

Considering Khan lost to Peterson and, even if you believe the point deductions swayed the fight unfairly (which I don't), couldn't deal with him at all, it would be unwise to take Lamont lightly a second time.

Also, as far as Amir's concerned, a couple of grand seems to make a huge difference to his team.
