Anyone who enjoys unprovoked attacks on an 80-something-year-old man over the internet is ... ? ... well, let's say, just a little bit insecure ...
I think most sane people on here have already deduced that PowderPuff is one of life's great loser's - I think once he's grown out of his nappies he'll probably come to realise this himself - all in good time
Shut up SplitNose you short arsed little ****. Powerpuncher's comment was hilarious to be fair. This is an internet forum.
Until he says those vile things to your dad or grandad...Luf so easy to laugh this off when YOU aren't affected...
Rocky, your a gem. Someday they will get my age, and the tables will turn...Top posters of yesterday were given the gate for a hell of a lot less, and trying to be a gentleman on ESB is not popular to some posters today...I suppose, like the old adage, "whose ox is gored" ? If I'm next Rocky, thank you for having my back... :good:good:good
hahaha i ****ing esb. now if we can all kiss and make up... agree with mcgrain that the fight COULD have been made in the states if dempsey wanted it. once he got past his dirty, war dodging hobo image and became one of the decade's most popular figures he could make that fight if he wanted. why would he want to? what's the motivation? Don't think he ducked wills in the traditional sense but why fight one of the few guys who could win for no more money than any other contender?
I don't think it's **** to talk to Burt that way because he's old, more because he's sincere. I love pp though, that much can't be helped. Like the man once said, he might be a savage, but he's our savage.
No probs Burt :good it does make you wonder how certain pretty decent posters have been given the chop yet these scum of the earth are just allowed to stay on and just use it as a chance to throw infantile insults around at anyone who isnt 12 years old like them - if I had my way they would be gone right now (literally aswell as figuratively)
well said mcgrain. to be honest, PP has taken a steaming **** on ALL of us at one time or another. it's part of the charm here
I think that is accurate. Dempsey was not a racist nor did he fear Black fighters. Jack Johnson did a lot to set Black fighters back (he was outwardly arrogant) Now I am not black but I give him credit for standing up for himself but there is a difference between Johnson and the doors he closed for other blacks and Joe Louis and the doors he opened. White America could not swallow the Johnson pill and the USA was not ready for his blatant display with white Hoes....Joe Louis opened doors for blacks by being a gentleman and opened many doors with class....I remember the Black Muslim movement in the 60's and it was counter-productive to progress, same with the Black Panthers but MLK with his talks of peace and God and equality made some of the harder hearts melt with intelligent leadership. Johnson was a boxer not a Leader but he still made it hard for the white American public to swallow another black champ and made it harder for Dempsey (who I think Dempsey had the style to KO) shame for both men and the public but we are talking about a different world then the one we know
