DLH-Mayweather was most def a superfight. May-Mos was advertised as one.

what about May-Cotto? Just how big must a fight be in order to be "super"?

If you have two big names going at it, that's definitely a super fight.

To me the best 2 fighters of a division going head to head...

    So to me

Donaire Montiel was a super fight, same as if Donaire fights Gamboa is a super fight.

Marquez-Khan Peterson would be a super fight.

Cotto Canelo at 154 would be a super fight

    Ward-Bute Superfight

    JR Martinez super fight

Pacquiao Mayweather is more then a super fight for me... it's like an Elite Super fight where the 2 best P4P get it going...

Mayweaher Martinez would be an Elite Super fight...

Marquez Pacquiao has always been an Elite Super fight.

Two big names fighting is automatically a superfight. It's all about attraction and attention when it comes to superfights.

Mosley vs Mayweather made sense at the time and was definitely a superfight. Mosley was the #1 Welterweight despite his inactivity. Mosley vs Pacquiao was a pointless affair.

I think it's safe to say that Pacquiao is carrying the Bradley fight in terms of "big names".

To the ***** anything that involve Floyd is a super fight. Floyd/Ortiz super fight. Floyd/Mosley super fight. Floyd VS Kids momma super fight. Floyd VS Security Guard super fight. If Floyd gets gang-raped by inmates still it's gonna be a super fight. :deal

They both gotta be big names in order for it to be a superfight

    For example:

    Pacquaio vs. Mayweather or

    Tyson vs. Lewis

Not every fight Pac does or Mayweather does is a superfight

I don't think there are many super fights out there right now. Just Klitschko vs. Klitschko or Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. Some of the mid level stars need to step up their image. Tons of good matchups out there but not many that would make history, and to me that is what a super fight is.

Hagler vs Hearns, DLH vs Mayweather, Tyson vs Lewis, Tyson vs Holyfield, Leonard vs Hagler, Ali vs Frazier 1 to name a few.

To me it also has a feeling of a fight you may have never thought you'd see happen, then it comes through. When the bell rings you almost can't believe your watching it. Weather it's because of negotiation problems, weight class differences like pac vs dlh, two guys from two different eras like to some extent Tyson vs Lewis, or one guy coming back from a long retirement like Leonard vs Hagler.

For me, two guys with a huge following who agree to finally face each other, which generates huge shockwaves in not only the boxing circles but also mainstream media.

Forgive me for not typing anymore of this era, but anything of the big four.
    Holy - Tyson
    May - ODLH
    Ali - Frazier 1-3
    Ali - Foreman
I could name a dozen others
