Motivation..? He was already a multi-millionaire. Plus, Prince Naseem Hamed was a deeply religious man. I heard people say he was broken inside off the Barrera defeat..? Something to do with allah, wanting him to be defeated. He was obsessed and thought Allah wanted him to stay undefeated.

He also put WAY more weight on his shots than most fighters. He used to almost jump on his opponent while throwing.

SJS we agree on little, but today I've agreed with you twice. Barrera wasn't too quick for Hamed, but too clever, and he made him miss (it doesn't always come down to speed). To state an obvious, which I will, Barrera schooled Hamed...and that's it. Hamed was never the same since.

    On what grounds?

Argue the virtues (and vices) of both fighters.

Got stuck on his backend a few times and couldn't touch Barrera. Your synopsis doesn't stand up.

Welcome to ESB by the way,

    Wig. :good

    Hamed's style

    Marvelous.

If you have 1000 boxers and put them into 10 different style catagories Hamed stands out on his own.

Get off of Hamed's nuts and watch Barrera - Hamed, a total boxing lesson for the show-off.

:rofl:rofl When someone becomes totally shot after defeat you know he was outclassed. I just dont get how Hamed fans dont understand that Barrera is by far THE BEST FIGHTER Naz ever faced, so when Naz fought the best fighter he ever faced he lost clearly, its not like Hamed ever defeated someone of MAB class!!! Beaten by the best fighter he ever faced means being shot :patsch I guess Hatton was shot against Floyd:lol:

Yes he had great power. One punch knockout power as well.
He got leverage and threw a one punch super shot.
Effective defense, swagger, great skills and ability to sell himself.
I believe it was a Manny Steward interview and he said Hamed
trained horribly for the Barrera fight. Manny wanted to instill
some fundamentals but Hamed trained like **** and relied
on his athleticism and got beat. What a performer though, truly
    dazzling.
