Is Floyd a genetic freak? How does he have a 72inch reach at 5'8

He has good reach for his heaight but not freakish reach like Liston.

Zab Judah has the same reach of 72" and is even shorter.

 

I have 74 inch reach i'm 5'11. I was the undisputed pound for pound king around the turn of the century.

Eusebio Pedroza was a freak at 126 lbs... 5'8 and a 68½″ reach !!!

 

I am 5'9 1/2 and my reach is about 76:smoke

very good arm length on him too. I remember one of his friends in a documentary stating how Lee would be an outfighter if he was boxing.

 

Oh for sure. He liked watching Ali...Once he got rid of his unpractical traditional fighting style/stances he took an ali move and hit approach switching from southpaw(for kicking) to orthodox while on the move. Still can't beat Bruce's philosophy on hand to hand combat. so ahead of his time.

He aint no pro boxer. But clearly respected the art and took influences from it. he wasn't into competition fighting

I dunno man, I'm measuring my 3 inch reacharound but it's just not helping
