Is Joe Pesci a pretentious hipster? Take another look at that picture you googled, freak. I'm a lot better looking.

Just had to fix this for you. (Couldn't resist.)

Burt, just remember that it's the foes who are laying all the eggs. Remember to do your Easter Egg hunting with a shotgun, before those eggs hatch and reproduce. (And don't forget these are probably turkey eggs.)

Burt, this is what you get for being popular, respected, well liked and appreciated, with a distinct identity and niche completely your own. You are under attack by the

Class, civility and respect are timeless. There are plenty of teenagers I've conversed with here who are intelligent, articulate, and earned their own reputations at ESB Classic on their own merits. Then, there are guys like Lee Harvey Oswald, Mark David Chapman, John Hinkley, Charles Guiteau and Leon Czolgosz who would be absolute nobodies today without achieving cheap historical notoriety at the expense of those who earned their recognition with honest sustained effort. (I'm leaving J. Wilkes Booth out of this, because he already was famous, and I think would remain famous today even if he had stuck strictly to acting.)

I'd be careful about this one, Burt. He might be a gerontophile pervert with an alphamegamiacal desire to be spanked in the woodshed by just such an older man. (And this is someone acting young enough to be your child if you were, say, 25 years old. Maybe this is somebody not needing a spanking in the woodshed, just a diaper change.)

And they're probably all spoiled with a butler who calls them, "Master Bates."
True. Completely beneath your contempt Burt.

Stoney, I'm truly very sorry to feel I have to ever edit you, but this next line of yours needs to be tweaked a bit:
    Yeah, that seems more appropriate.

Hah! Ironic that Burt got a bollocking off GorDoom on the CBZ a couple of days ago for being offensive to another poster, leading to the thread being deleted!

Hmmm...that's a lot of faith in them you're expressing Burt. You sure they can live that long speaking like that without somebody (maybe a mob) taking them out long before they've reached a natural life span?
Whataya mean "tables will turn" Burt? Seems to me they're already getting buried by furniture in this thread (albeit chairs instead of tables) like this:

Nah, the venerated John Garfield is the long time patron saint of ESB Classic, a well established and revered (even in the Lounge) quintessential gentleman here since August 2004. (JG himself might claim it's a computer glitch, that's he's really been here since August 1904, or maybe August 2004 BC, but I suspect he'd just be boosting his resume with these claims.)

Trying to be a gentleman on ESB Classic is not popular to some half dozen posters out of about 40,000 total members on these boards. (About 600 of those are alternative accounts of mine though.)

Guys there is a line to cross.

I don't care what issue people have with burt but where I come from i'd refer to the man as sir.

Disagreements are to be expected but contempt is not.

A line has been crossed with no provocation.

    An apology is certainly required.
