Could have sworn the guy in silver (the victor) was the same guy I saw fighting in Costa Rica a couple of months ago on the undercard of the Gabriel-Stone fight. Used the same type of withering body attack, too.

Anyway, the guy in silver scored a kd in the second, and basically beat the guy in black trunks like a drum for six until the fight was stopped in the corner. That much I'm certain of, anyway...

    Round 1

Lacerda flips out a few weak left jabs and hooks, taking the lead as long as Soto lets him. Every 20-30 seconds Soto will come out of hibernation and land a jab and overhand right to get Lacerda blocking and backing up in a hurry. Lacerda misses wide with a lazy left hook from outside and leaves himself badly open. Soto rushes in with a triple uppercut to force Lacerda back to the ropes. Soto keeps stalking, barely throwing anything but very much in control. Jab-feint gets Lacerda stepping back toward the ropes and Soto instead launches a big overhand right to pin him there. Soto rushes in, HUGE quadruple left hook to the body delivered in a blur!

    10-9 Soto

    Soto 10-9

Soto seemed to get outboxed in the middle of the ring but when he got Claud on the ropes he dominated.

    Round 2

Lacerda steps around Soto and pops his left with flash jabs and long hooks while mid-glide. Soto is biding his time on the outside, defending with hand pickoffs and head movements and using subtle foot placement to get set for quick herding flurries. Lacerda keeps making the mistake of throwing that wide left hook from outside and Soto keeps punishing him with hard right counters over the top. Good mix of body hooks and face jabs by Soto. Lacerda is forced to shell up on the ropes and keep moving.

    20-18 Soto

    Soto 20-18.

Claud doesn't seem very fluid and is basically a punching bag for Soto when he goes to the ropes. Claud's left eye looks to be closing as well. I doubt this fight goes the distance.

Fair enough. Good victory for Jardon, then.

    30-27 Soto.

Soto seems a bit reckless at times rushing in without throwing any shots but I am sure Soto feels this stiff can't hurt him.

    Round 3

Lacerda is committed to that hook, and Soto has found his own. Soto dips at the knees and then comes up hooking at the same time Lacerda does, and Soto's is much harder as well as more accurate. Lacerda dances around and pushes with his left jab. Soto walks him down patiently and takes his time picking his spots for big left hooks and hammering rights over the top. All Lacerda can do is lean in and bodily push him back, and then try to stem the tide with his weak jab. Clapping overhand right by Lacerda, landing harmlessly on the shoulder.

    30-27 Soto

Lacerda raises his fist and shook it triumphantly after the bell. :blood Moral victory of not getting stopped? He certainly can't think he has won a minute.

He's also standing in the corner rather than making use of his stool.

    40-36 Soto

Target practice for Soto. Soto has pretty damn good fundamentals too bad his power is **** above 130 pounds.
