Take note of how broad he is though.

He likely had long arms, but on top of that he was very, very broad. Because they measure from fingertip to finger tip, being very broad will boost the reach.

Its just hard to believe this guy being 6'1 has same reach as Dwight Howard who is 6'10

They must have got something wrong with his reach maybe 78" not 88"

Pau Gasol also has 88" reach he is 7 feet tall

The best wingspan to height ratio in the NBA has this guy Jason Maxiell. Height 6'5 wingspan 7'4 reach 87.5".

Just forget it with the "genetic" and "race" based reasons for why Floyd is so good.

Yes, people have differing characteristics, just because. But that usually does not explain "talent".

You could go on Box Rec and find all sorts of freaks. A few are very talented, but most are not.

SFW, Vincent Escobedo, is 5'8", with a 74" reach. According to this thread, he should be one of the greatest of all time. I'm sure I could find hundreds of other examples.

Andre Ward usually has a shorter reach than reach than his opponents, yet he whips them easily.

Yes, Floyd is a boxing freak, relatively speaking, but it is because of over all talent.
