    I really, really doubt that.

Hearns would concern BHop with more than he's had to deal with and IF Hopkins can pull it off, it would be in typical Spoiler BHop Bull****.

though I doubt Tommy would let him!

No I don't think Sanders had true potential to be a top 10 H2H. he had great potential but not that much. Based on H2H he would have a huge chance over most soley because of his left hand power. I'm not impressed with Riddick based on Holyfield 1. That's basically what Riddick is rated on. When Holyfield switched up his gameplan, he clearly won the second fight. So where is the greatness? he certainly isn't up there with the real greats.

To be honest I see if you aren't impressed with the Garing lane fight. The one on youtube is of horrible quality. I don't blame you there. I saw a version on "Wire TV" which was a short lived UK cable channel. The point is, my copy was much higher quality. I feel that when Sanders was in shape he was much better and not so one demensional. Even against Wlad/Rahman I would never consider him "prime". In Sanders' true prime he would have handled both Klitschko's in their prime.

Also, I'm not saying Sanders would blow away Bowe by any means.. I'm saying the difference in power and the southpaw style would come into play. Bowe would have the advantage on the inside, but other then that, Sander's left hand would land often on Bowe. I'm skeptical of how many Bowe can take before Sanders stops him.

Better fighter yes, but a better person no! Leonard is no better than Floyd and a much worse person than Jones and De La Hoya. He took cocaine and beat his wife up for a span of 4 to 5 years atleast. While on Cocaine he threatened to burn his own house on fire so him and his family could die. He also really only helped raise his oldest son Ray Jr. and his youngest kid. He barely saw or took care of his middle son, who has been arrested a couple of times. Don't be blinded by the Leonard "smile".

    Agree wholeheartedly.

That Bowe defense and he stands right in front of you. Legs like a steinway piano & about as much lateral movement as one. I do think there is a big opportunity that Corrie does blow the guy away early. What Sanders did in those early fights was to take a guy's measurements. And then Sanders would just fire off a nasty right hook or that straight as an arrow left. Untelegraphed. Bang. And not telegraphing and waiting for an opening to land that big shot is not going to take long.

That Bowe defense made guys like Golata and Coetzer and Biggs--other tall opponents--look terrific. Zero head movement. He needs a shorter opponent that has to work to reach him, not the tall guys he is always in range against.

What does Bowe do if he gets hurt by the guy? All he can do is slug his way out of things. Is he going to kill 90 seconds against this guy? And I sure don't think Riddick is the type that will handle a southpaw very well and I think his defense just won't give him the time it would take to solve Sanders. 5 or 6 rounds to solve Corrie means he is simply getting hit clean by this guy. And Sanders knows how to finish. Some Bowe lateral movement would help avoid those Corrie Sanders punches a ton.

But this isn't Herbie Hide having to create openings and he was a lot quicker than Bowe early in their fight. Handspeed and footspeed and reflexes and everything. And that's with that horrible Hide defense. But he and donald had handspeed and still were not as fast as sanders, let alone reach and telegraphing punches.

    What's your take, John?

One of my big things is not seeing the first Bowe-holyfield fight as an alltime type performance on par with Frazier Ali. Bowe did not look as good to me in the fight as a fight we have discussed before==Page over Coetzee. Or maybe Liakhovich over Brewster. Yeah the guy dug deep to win and the champ hung tough, but it was just a well contested fight and not enough to base the guy's remaining career on. Not exactly a Tyson Spinks outcome and other heavies were up and coming, or already out there, so lets wait and see.

Did anyone really think Evander was going to hold onto the title for much longer? He was going to get licked by somebody and Bowe was a guy that the Duva camp signed to fight, so he got the scalp. But someone other than Bowe was going to outpoint Holyfield.

Floyd Mayweather's combonation of skills/ability/talent and size makes him the only lightweight with a real chance of beating Benny Leonard and Pernell Whitaker.

Interesting. How do you see Duran Vs Pernell? I like Whitaker by close decision but no doubt Duran has a good chance IMO
