While Hopkins and Winky's boxing clinics over Tito were impressive. PBF-Chico Corrales was without a doubt is the best display of boxing of this era. A complete boxing clinic in every since of the word. The skills PBF displayed in this fight were second to none and would stack up against ATGs of any era. His jab accuracy lateral movement counter-punching power ring generaship and speed were all top notch from start to finish. Even Harold Lederman said it was the greatest he'd seen in years. He was simply beautiful to watch that night even more so than in his demolition jab of Gatti years later. That version of PBF would have given anyone in the history of the sport from 135 and down complete and utter hell.

About the same as Pacquaio - Margarito, although Margarito threw more punches.

Pac got hit a lot and even hurt by Margo when he was on the ropes by a body shot. He even admitted that Margo hurt him badly. Good win but not a boxing clinic more of a beating kinda like Calzaghe-Lacy.

I still think Chicos step dad shouldn't of stopped the fight! Diego was ready to fight.. Those Pillow punches didn't hurt him.. He just never had the best chin!

Wasn't Floyd the underdog at the books? How wide was the line?

Savvy fans who'd been following his career progress could have seriously benefited from this performance financially. :yep

Brilliant performance. Far and away the best of his career. Given the level of opponent and the multitude of skills on display, I'd give Hopkins-Tito the edge, but Floyd was masterful that night, no question.

Diego wasn't a big favorite.. Less than 2-1! I remember betting a friend from work 100$ on the fight.. I knew PBF had the style to beat chico but I still bet on the lanky bad ass that came to scrap! Anyways I didn't have to give odds because the guy didn't even understand betting odds.. I still lost and my Anti-Floyd Mayweather feelings started to build since then.

it's one of the best. the two others are Hopkins - Tito and slugger3000 beating up his own *******. the ******* gave a good fight, but slugger3000 handed out a clinic.

Don't want to rank it but it certainly is one of my favorites. At the same time, so many of his are.

Castillo/Corrales. Best all-around display of boxing - inside/body work was crazy! Hardly any clinching. Straights from Corrales. Uppercuts and left hooks from both. Chico boxed on the outside, as well, when he needed to.

its floyd, that is expected of him. but, what hopkins did to tito, still shocks me to this day

  14. Corrales was often a victim of his own lack of defense. He was susceptible to accumulation of punches. After 5 knockdowns and not winning a single second of the fight... I think Step-Dad made the right call 100%. There would have been 3 or 4 more knockdowns in the fight if not and the scores woulda read something like 120-94.

Chico was done there was no use in letting a young and undefeated fighter, up until that point, take further damage.
