I judge how good someone looks in accordance with their opposition.

So no, Floyd may've looked flawless but it wasn't impressive IMO.

As do we all , but I'm not sure how any boxing fan " cannot " be impressed by that sort of meticulous schooling

Regardless of the obvious lesser opposition , it wasn't like Floyd was fighting a guy with a losing record as a young prospect , but thats how he made it look

My problem is that he didn't do that to similar lesser-level fighters.

Not that impressed by modern boxing as a whole, so that's probably why. Or by Floyd, who has nothing on Kalambay IMO.

Although not schooling how damn good was Calzaghe's display against Kessler the way he adapted and took over the fight around the 7th. A truly great display IMO.

A shout out has to go to Barrera and Morales , round 5 in this fight was a thorough display of everything you could ask from a world class fighter/s , for me , this ranks one of if not the best round of boxing i ever saw

But Molina put on a great display of clinching against a man with a damaged arm.......

Is this some sort of a joke

It was one of the most one sided destruction jobs in recent times

Further to this, I assume I am a lower-level boxing fan than the rest of you Floyd admirers.

I agree with most of the suggestions already posted.

Pre-2000 Kalambay-McCallum 1 is the greatest display of "pure" boxing Ive ever seen.

Post 2000 I think this fight deserves a mention, he completely negates a destructive puncher with consummate ease..

Edit: ^ grrr, Byrd vs Tua :deal

Domestically (I know I'll get grief for this) Brook vs Jackiewicz & Hatton were very impressive performances.

Given what preceded this fight , this is certainly worth a mention , infact definitely , Morales was excellent
