Been debating what country to start a thread for, I can't make more then 1-2 seeing as I wanna keep them updated, I live in the USA, Everyone knows about what is going on in Boxing here, Russia has some good fights and under the radar fighters so I might do one for Russia soon, United Kingdom/Canada's up and comers are fairly well known so I didn't wanna do that, Germany was another good option seeing as I follow German boxing a lot, Polish boxing has some good fights but not too much sparks my interest, Artur Spitkza ( I can't spell it , Polish names are too long! ) is one of the only ones that I am hyped about, Wach is exciting when it comes KO time but low skilled.

So I picked Italy, Not even some of the hardcore of the hardcore fans on here know that much about it, So I thought **** it, I follow it pretty closely.

Anyways welcome to the Italian boxing thread, Where I will provide the latest Italian boxing news, and help you get to know the talented stable of Italian Boxers.

Some nice fights this weekend in Italy, Veteran Vincenzo Rossitto faces off with Georgian Levan Jomardashvili on Sportitalia 1 Friday ( 3 PM EST, 12 PM PST 9 PM IT ), Rossitto is known to casuals for being easily beaten by David Haye, But he also had some battles with Silvio Branco and Giacobbe Fragomeni that should be watched!

Speaking of Branco And Fragomeni they both fought just a couple weeks ago, What a superfight, Fragomeni showed he had some real stamina at 42! He kept coming, Landing the harder shots but Branco was doing well on the backfoot throwing jabs and light combos to try and keep the smaller Fragomeni away from him, It was a draw but I thought Fragomeni won because it seemed he landed the cleaner shots, despite landing less frequently, Rematch later this year likely.

Michele Di Rocco Vs. Giuseppe Lauri rematch also on Sportitalia 2 Satuday, ( 3 PM EST, 12 PM PST, 9 PM IT ), First fight was some weird ****... Now time is in Di Roccos favor as Lauri is fading in recent years, Worth watching, Good undercard too.

They're amateurs are more worth paying attention to rather than they're pros.

    Good idea.

    I'll check back.

Italy has a whole lot of untested, but still undefeated or one loss prospects.

Oh, and give me an Ao vs. Boscheiro re-match now! Or, at least after the Ao vs. Kokietgym re-match I'd like to see...

Denis Boschiero Vs. Ermano Fegatilli date should be announced soon! Boschiero will take a tough stay busy fight this weekend first though on the Di Rocco-Lauri 2 undercard. In his last fight Boschiero lost what many see as a fairly bad decision to Japan's Ao a couple months ago and is still trying to rebound.

In Fegatilli's last fight he fought Antonio De Vitis, Won a close decision there in Italy. Guys got some skill.

Yes I did, I agree, Poulsen and Brunn are good Domestic/Euro level boxers but not too much more, Saying that they looked pretty good against lighter opposition.

Stephen Alms looked awesome on his debut, Looked skillful and packed a punch, Saying that he wasn't fighting a 1-31 guy he fought a 5-5 ( i think ) so props to him on a great debut I'd keep watching him!! Khattab had some flaws but also looked pretty good for the most part.

    Nice little card. :yep

Nice. I wonder if Italians have ever held Calzaghe in high regard being half Italian half Welsh? Did not know, but Maravilla is of Greek descent?
