Oscar De la Hoya blocked most of Floyd Mayweathers jabs, Mayweather hardly landed a "CLEAN" jab. Your speaking of this fight..? using the word.."BROKE"..? As if it was some sort of sistamtic peformance by Floyd Mayweather.

It was a split decision and every single round was competitive.

The fight could of went ether way.

A unbeaten record means **** in boxing, just because Floyd Mayweather is unbeaten..? people automatically overrated all of his abilitys to higher heights.

    Facts are..

Ricky Hatton got to Mayweather..? Ricky Hatton was built up as a ****** in a sweet science sense. But the fact of the matter is, he got to Floyd Mayweather roughed him up, and had him clinching and stumbling, and back tracking like never before.

Victor Ortiz, got to Floyd Mayweather yet again..? another Boxer who is not celebrated for his ring IQ, and sweet science.

Miguel Cotto is getting to Floyd Mayweather on May 5th..? You need to accept this.

Floyd Mayweather is not breaking down Miguel Cotto with single shots, or 1-2's. Like Manny Steward pointed out, he is not fluid in following up with his punches. History states, you need to follow up with your punches to step Cotto in his tracks..? Margarito/Manny Pac these guys are hard hitters unlike Floyd Mayweather, and even these guys had to follow upm with masses of punches.

"And for all we know, Miguel Cotto was already physically weakened/weight drained up against Manny Pac"

Floyd Mayweather has to do something against Miguel Cotto..? that he has not done since the Gatti fight.

He needs to follow up on his punches, with bad intentions, 3-4 punches combinations, insted of single shots and the occasional 1-2.

    Can he do it..?

Fact: Their where points in Cotto's fight vs Clottey when he was getting painted with combo's but something made him pause and shell up....normally this would not surprise me because Clottey is known to do as such during his fights but I also saw the same hesitation from Foreman, Mosely, Zab.....its as if they are thinking to far into whats coming back and sure enough if you don't apply the proper amount of consistant pressure you allow Cotto to get back in a rythm...its as if Cotto is willing to take some heat to gain information on your rythm the only problem is he gets hit to much in the process....sort of why he makes fights exciting.

Oscar parried many of Floyd's jabs, but those jabs broke up Oscar's jabbing rhythm forcing him to jab less. Floyd's stick to the body coudln't miss Oscar.

    Cotto(e) isn't that durable.

I'll let the rest of the forum talk to you about scoring fights and competitiveness.
