Andre Ward said : "I was disappointed ......"

If Dawson beats Bernard as expected I'd like to see him fight Andre Ward.

Andre isn't ducking anyone, but I do think he might be nervous about Dirrells style and athethic ability. I consider Ward to have a resume a level above Bute's anyway.

Let's just see how Bute handles Froch. Not sure he will win that fight.

 

How long has Bute been champ ? He is just now stepping up meanwhile Ward won the Super 6 ..How anyone can call Ward a ducker is beyond me ..:huh

 

What was Ward thinking? He wanted Bute to fight a top opponent but at the same time offered him to fight in Oakland on the same card. Who would be stupid enough to think that Bute could face Froch or Kessler in Oakland? The idea is ridiculous.

Ward said Bute had to face a legitimate opponent. He was injured and not ready. Well, Bute is going to England to fight Froch, which was the runner up of the tournament that crowned Ward at the top of the division. You can't have more legitimate.

Bute will be available for Ward this fall on Showtime (Bute is under contract for one more fight) if he wins against Froch. In the meantime, Ward can face an easiest opponent like he wanted to do not so far ago.

 

Bute fights bums and we all know that, thats probably why he fights his mandatories cuz he wants those easy fights...Ward won the super six, he has the right to be stuck up, take a break, a vacation...He put his life on the line, and put on a show, he EARNED it...there shold be NOTHING negative to say about Ward after he won that tourney and decided to go on vacation..he earned it, but for some reason u hate him

 

Past is not everything. You can become a ducker at any time. You just have to duck. As simple as that.

That being said, I think Ward wanted to hype the fight against Bute by asking him to fight a top opponent. I'm ok with that but I don't like the way he talks about Bute. "The winner of the super 6 will have to face Bute." "Bute is not worthy". "Finally I wanted Bute but he chose to fight Froch." That is pretty inconsistent.

 

Past is nothing for those who don't have a past to talk about ..I mean come on Ward fough the best of the division in a 2 yrs span ,Like I said how long has Bute been champ ? I don't see how anyone can call a fighter a ducker when he fough the best and the one who didn't the guy being ducked ..I never understood that logic .

 

Fans like you are responsible for the hate towards Ward. So, Bute only fought bums?

Ward fought Allan Green. He is not even a bum. He also fought Bika, a common opponent Bute had beaten previously. Abraham is not a force at SMW. Leaves Kessler and Froch. Bute will face Froch. Soon, Ward will only have one best win compared to Bute: an injured Kessler. Ward fought twice a year, it's not like he had a tough time. All the fights have been at home. Where are the wars you're talking about?

P.S. "Ward put on a show" was your funniest one. The only reason Ward's last fight was more fun to watch is named Carl Froch.

 

For the sake of the argument lets say what you wrote was true (wont get into why your argument is stupid cause its a lost cause on this site)...

Thing is, champ, Ward said something then changed his initial speach 100%. When Bute goes to fight Froch, Ward doesnt understand why Bute did that cause apparently he wanted to fight him too .

What you need to remember from all this : Bute called out Ward, Ward refused. Thats it. No bs excuses, no nothing. Ward refused while acting high and mighty before the S6 final. You can cry all you want but thats the fact. I dont care who Ward fought, he REFUSED to fight Bute in HIS OWN hometown.

 

Ward didn't fight the best available for the simple reason it is Bute. Ward went in a tournament that left Bute out. You can't blame Bute for that, he was not invited. Only Froch have made an offer to Bute in the last 5 years, it's not like if he was ducking.

As for Ward, Allan Green, Sakio Bika and Arthur Abraham are not the cream of the division and he fought all of them at home.

I don't like Ward, for several reasons but I have no problems with Ward have an easy tuneup fight. While Bute tries to prove he belong in the top of the division, if Froch wins (which I doubt), then Bute will have a hard time convincing people he is nothing but hot air. And Ward will start looking for LHW opponents. If he wins there is $$$ in the near future and he have shown us he should have been in the S6. Right now I'm fine with how the matches are setup in SMW. In LHW I hope Kessler after beating Green will get Cloud, but that's another story.

 

Carl Froch?...Carl talking about how he's gonna cut off the ring and all that...Ward was the one cutting off the ring..Ward put on a show, he brought the fight, the offense, he was fighting like a dog...Froch didnt do anything except be victim...Stop that lyin boy!

 

Froch and Kessler were the 2 best super middles on earth ! Bute's only claim is that he is the IBF champ ..Tell me who did he ever beat or fight to even come close to that claim ? Why is he fighting Froch now ?Bute has been champ since what 07 and he's only stepping up now ? I find it highly conveinent that he couldn't get a major fight since winning the belt .Yet this guy is the best ? Or does that undfeated record give him that claim?

I mean how is he the best when he hasn't fought close to the best ?

 

The fact Ward is way better than everyone else at 168 generates a lot of bitterness and jealousy in people.
