Strictly performances, as in the day of the fight?

    Floyd-Pac

    Ortiz/Cotto (no need to explain)
Mosley/Mosley (A dangerous 2nd round followed by a schooling vs looked like **** but got a shutout and a KD)
Judah/Clottey (Getting worked and adapting vs shutting out the guy)
Hoya/Hoya (Good weight but SD vs Weight drained brutality)
JMM/JMM (First time bloat shutout vs potential loss)

I'd have to give it to Pac still.

I don't think Mayweather avoided any of these guys. Regardless, when was Clottey ever even in line to fight Mayweather? Was anyone ever asking for this fight?

pac has the better resume and did it in a much shorter time. also pac fighting at 140 and 147 is the equivalent of floyd fighting at 160 and 168. floyd even said that what pac is doing before at WW is the equivalent of him knocking down Heavyweights (to emphasize his point that what pac is doing is amazing and could only be a by product of PEDs).

Please give your reasons why Pac has a better WW/LMW resume of wins out of those in the opening post

No matter who you choose, there is no way you can throw in Joshua Clottey as being a serious threat when the biggest name he beat....was a guy Floyd dismantled at a better physical prime.

I really don't like how much people show they're lack of knowledge in boxing when they throw in certain names......I give you Cotto....Floyd didn't duck him, but i give you Cotto. I give you Margarito.....I don't think he ducked him but....i still give you that...but at no point will i allow anybody to tell me that Floyd Mayweather saw something in Joshua Clottey and refused to fight him.

No I don't, most importantly because welterweight/jmw is the only division in which both fighters have campaigned simultaneously, secondly because they are both now considered welterweights, and ranked depending on who you ask, the number 1 and number 2 welterweights in the world, so I thought it more appropriate to rank their welter-achievements & resume based on opponents faced.

154 is clearly floyd and after he beats Cotto thats 2X at the weight and 2 more credible wins at 154

147 Id say Floyd too but its close

    :rofl:rofl

What the **** did clottey do to be declared in the so called golden WW era:rofl

Shut the **** up you jackass. Even Carlos Baldomir achieved more than what clottey ever has in the sport.

Floyd also says he is the greatest fighter ever. I guess we should take both statements to be the gospel truth :rofl

In 2007 or 2008 The Welterweight division was considered the most exciting. And also the toughest.
And the names mentioned were Margo, Cotto, Williams and Clottey.
I'm not making it up. Clottey gets a bad rep for his poor performance against Manny, but his whole career before that is very good.

As one of the famous *****;s on this site, I don't expect you to agree :hi:

Floyd fought the better version of Oscar,Hatton,Mosley, came back from 2 years off to fight Juan and outclassed him. And know he is facing a better version of Cotto,Pac gets credit but to me Floyd fought the healthier versions..

Fought a Margarito,Cotto that had prior devestating KO's,I can go on and on but Floyd edges him out.. Even if Pac is ahead,he will retire while Floyd takes on 5 more fights or so,he will go down as having the better career..
