As you can see from the available resources Clay is a thorough bread glass jawed Nigerian(been stopped 10 times:--(). Although there is little doubt remaining in my mind that the fighting fisherman is a Nigerian the locals may not have been aware and thus jobbed him as such or perhaps his fighting spirit was broken after years pretending to be a TTG an act that would break most men.
