This picture encapsulates the teak toughness of Accralites. Clottey punching himself as well as Cotto to demonstate his granite whiskers.

Look again at the evidence, he lost to Clay in Nigeria, but won in Benin...

The crazy thing is there are at least a dozen well-known candidates you could make a VERY good case for.

What is in the water in Ghana? :-( And why aren't they a military superpower with all these unbreakable *******s?

As you can see from the available resources Clay is a thorough bread glass jawed Nigerian(been stopped 10 times:-:)-(). Although there is little doubt remaining in my mind that the fighting fisherman is a Nigerian the locals may not have been aware and thus jobbed him as such or perhaps his fighting spirit was broken after years pretending to be a TTG an act that would break most men.

I'm glad that the Teak Toughness - Proximity to Accra equation is well established.

In a similar vein, thanks to Shaunster I'm now tempted of trying to ascertain the centre of 'Ruggedness' in Mexico. Can any posters help on that?

Well we all know the Man to cut down many a teak-tough Ghanaian is The Cefn Fforest Lumberjack and he may well face another one in the future. I bring you Braimah Kamoko, 23-0(17), WBO number 2, apparently has eye problems that prevent the BBBofC allowing him over here(blantant promotional influence to protect Nate.)

Also known as "Bukom Banku", loosely translated as: "Destroyer of Degree-holding, bandana-adorned, facial-haired Leek Munchers"

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=90061&cat=boxer

Also his wiki lists him as "professional boxer, actor and politician", a man of many talents.

    In summary
    Accra - Yes
    Never been stopped - Yes
    Unbeaten - Yes
    High in WBO - Yes
