Tell me you don't see Cotto doing this several times during the fight with Mayweather

Don't have to worry about it. Cotto is a one-handed fighter.:deal

JLC's style matched up much better than Cotto's does. JLC used educated pressure behind a jab to get inside and get to the body. He could also cut off the ring and had the stamina will and durability to stay there once he got in. Cotto doesn't have the durability nor the will of JLC. He won't go through hell and back to get inside on PBF. Instead he will try to box with PBF which will be his undoing. He can't outbox a master like PBF, he's not going to sell out to get inside and he's not going to KO him either so you tell me how he wins?:yep

We'll see. I think your gonna be wrong about this one. Maybe 3 yrs. ago you probably would of been right but now that he doesn't have that shoulder injury anymore and has corrected some fundamental mistakes(emanuel stewart came in for that) and has a competant trainer in Pedro Diaz, WHO KNOWS how to put together a soild stragey(we all saw some of it in the Marg 2 rematch when Cotto was circling him in the middle of the ring and kept his punchout put higher than the first fight), your gonna be very suprised. I know deep down inside you know he's gonna perform better, your trying to convince yourself that it won't be that way though. :yep

Wrong! Actually I haven't been more confident going into a PBF fight in a long time, and I'll tell you why. Cotto despite his skills is tailormade for PBF. He has short arms is short is one-handed has average hand speed isn't a big puncher has suspect stamina suspect defense suspect chin busts up too easy he fights dumb and is a boxer puncher. Boxer punchers like Cotto beat people by outboxing them mostly and you and I know that won't work with PBF. PBF will walk Cotto down forcing him backwards and have his way with it. It will be a clinic a showcase fight IMO. This fight will go down as one of PBF's better performances.

I remember a lot of Jones fans saying the samething in the rematch with Tarver. They said it will be a mismatch and he would outclass Tarver like he did Montell Griffen. Jones trained his ass off for the rematch but the truth came out that Tarver had a difficult style For jones and always would of had a difficult style for him.(Roy still had way more speed than Antonio in the rematch and dominated the first round and it looked like he was gonna cruise to a UD but styles always make fights) Your boy Mayweather is a great fighter but he's human. But no, it ain't personal though, you believe it will be a mismatch, the world will find out.:good

The best performance I have every seen Cotto put on was his win over Mosley, He boxed like never before. I can't picture him trying to fight like Castillo.

I said in another thread i'm not no fan like you guys are. I love the sport of boxing and like seeing the best fight the best, and i'm actually happy that Floyd is taking this fight because it's gonna prove a lot about his abilities IMO. This is gonna be a great fight. But you gotta remember, in every era, there's always a fighter that will give a dynamic invincible great fighter that the public see's that way(Tyson,Jones,Foreman,Liston etc.) a hard fight. Mayweather hasn't found that fighter yet and I have hunch it's coming soon. If he proved to be too good for Cotto, Pacquaio, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez etc. etc. than I don't think anybody would hold anything against his greatness. But his fans are hilarious because they think he's superman. Pacquaio fans are the sameway to a certain extent, so i'm gonna lump them in as well but Pac has found his match in Marquez, so there's still a difference.

Terrible example. The first fight was way too competitive for anyone to think that Jones was gonna walk through Tarver. I think you make **** up on the fly.

Nope, Roy was weight drained for the first fight and he still won. So logic said that he would be stronger, with more energy and sharper than he was in the first fight.(and he was and it showed in the first round of their second fight) Now I don't who you was talking to, but no one I talked to thought Tarver had a chance. And remember Montell griffen was also competitive with Roy in their first fight as well, so there was unfinished business and roy destroyed him in the second fight.

This might be the dumbest sentence you've typed out.

All you keep talking about is "you'll be surprised, you'll be shocked, you'll see I was right". Meanwhile, you ride on other peoples comments and have never actually explained what Cotto can do that no one else has done when it comes to defeating Mayweather.

I have my own opinions about how this fight will go, but I'll keep letting you think you know what you're talking about. :verysad

I just call you on your bull**** because you claim everyone else is a cheerleader. But at least they give cogent, well thoughtout reasons for their opinion. You however, do not.
