I don't get why Canelo is such a heavy favorite. He's totally unproven IMO, and very inexperienced compared to Mosley not to mention Mosley is a Huge step up in overall talent and grit.
Yea, we've seen Mosley look bad in his last couple fights but look who he was fighting! Canelo is not Pac or Mayweather by a long shot.
I say Mosley KO's this kid and I'm betting on it.

You're ignoring how he looked against Mora. It's not that he lost to Pacquiao, it's how he lost to him. It's how he probably lost to Mora. He looked lost, exhausted, not quite there. No reflexes.

Don't forget how bad he looked against Mora.

I think Mosley might still be able to do well against the Margarito's of the world who come right at him with their chins out and clock them at will but a hard-hitting counterpuncher like Canelo is a bad style matchup for this past-it version of Mosley. Chances are he's going to rocked with a punch and then be hesitant to pull the trigger the rest of the fight for fear of being countered. His power and speed are the only things going for him so I won't rule out a KO completely against a guy who was on shaky legs against Jose Miguel Cotto but I'm going to say Canelo wins a wide decision.

He's been an inconsistent performer since the days of fighting Cotto and Mayorga. Fighting Mayweather, it looked like he reached a point of no return. It's one thing to lose, and another thing to gas out repeatedly with no meaningful offense going whatsoever.

He's obviously past it, old, coming off a loss where he looked really bad, a draw and another loss to Mayweather. That's THE recipe to be underestimated globally in this sport, especially when his opponent is a young hyped up fighter.

Mosley may have a chance and I hope he does pull it off, but it's highly unlikely. I hope he hasn't lost confidence in his ability to absorb punches because I don't see him avoiding a lot of the punches Alvarez will throw at his age. If he loses I hope it's not by stoppage.

The only reason he's fighting and seeking any big fight available is money-related. Sadly, symptoms of a prostitute of a wife, he needs to keep the money coming and this is the only way he can do it. Even if he loses, I still expect him to keep fighting.

Mosley, at this point, will be probably need a well timed KO punch to win. He's been gunshy for a decade now,. and has looked terrible his last three fights, and even in some wins. His win over Margarito is probably the only time he's looked really good, like a top fighter, since collazo.
