I have a few in Mind. Frazier, Ali, Marciano, Holyfield, Dempsey, Louis. I like Frazier because I think he would fought to death hadn't the ref stopped the first Foreman bout and Eddie Futch stopping the Thrilla.

some good picks for me Marciano (split nose KO over Charles) Frazier who got up 6 times vs Foreman and the rest somewhere in that line...Ali also had a lot of heart getting off the floor vs Frazier and Holmes showed heart getting up from Snipes and Shavers and Tyson

A prominent boxing publication years ago assembled the perfect HW compiled from traits of all the champions up to that time, and for heart, they gave it to Carnera (who was never counted out, even when hopelessly overmatched).

As was mentioned before, how in the world would someone ever qualify something like this? What an odd question.

I would say all has great heart although I slightly question Baer and Ingo ...

    Putting aside the obvious ...

Sullivan getting pulverized for 21 rounds by a prime Corbett
Willard suffering that terrible beating to Dempsey and still fighting on ..
Burns getting destroyed by Johnson and fighting on ...
Dempsey getting pulverized by Tunney and fighting on blind ...
Johnson at 37, fat and old, going 26 v.s. a monster Willard and leaving it all in the ring.
Carnera getting up time and again v.s. Baer
    Louis getting whipped by Charles
Patterson getting up time and again v.s. Ingo
Tyson taking huge bombs , exhaust and knowing he had no shot post round 1 w Lewis

IT really goes on and on ...

Braddock might be a good shout.

The guy who got to the top based on that and not much else.

    Agree....

I got tired of people saying so and so had the most heart ever. It's all b.s. and disrespectful. I've seen time and time again fighters show incredible heart to the point you start to think...is this "heart," is this "bravery"... or is this guy just crazy in the head for wanting to continue.

Just look up the fight with

It's an interesting read. Not sure how much I believe since I like footage, but either way, interesting read/possibility.

Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield still waiting on a k2 bout.

He is def. up there he received a hell of a beating from Louis.

Frazier getting KD 6 times and continually going back for more and of course the Thrilla in Manila

Marciano in his 1st fight with Walcott was his most brave performance IMO, getting knockeddown in the 1st round, beaten on and simply outclassed, blinded in the middle rounds but still coming and throwing punches, behind on all score cards etc.
I remember in one of the rounds Walcott was clowning Marciano and with his back against the ropes dropped his hands and let Marciano take a free swing and he missed .

I think this is what I touched on. There is "heart/bravery," and then there is just Crazy.
