I browsed through another website and caught site of Floyd's camp pic of him eating an interesting meal. So I went back and did some research and found this. There are still athletes in the NFL and especially NBA players (who also like pot-brownies) that still follow this "diet." I remember hearing Chris Carter {W.R./NFL} talk about how strict his diet and training regimen was and then he looked over at Randy Moss eating junk food before a game and go out and basically out-perform him and put up HOF stats. ..................... Ive heard NBA players give props to boxers because of the diet. They can eat whatever they want as long as they keep in shape.
lots of athletes have they're vices...his is just sweets i guess...but it doesnt mean much when we are talking about superior athletes who train and work hard daily....so some junk foood here and there is burned off easily as they put in numerous hours of work.
I don't know if we should assume he'd perform better if he stuck with a healthy diet. People can't function properly when they're agitated. My guess is not having his junk food puts him in a foul mood. They say a high percentage of boxing is mental. Maybe having a nice, greasy burger helps him relax which allows him to stay focused. I'm sure he doesn't overdo it.
With his all his training, I doubt the junk food even touches sides. His metabolism is no doubt excellent. I know a guy who eats a ton of junk food, but he's a triathlete so he can get away with, much more so than 'normal' people.
Didn't Judah, in his schooling of Paris, ditch Conte for chicken burgers? In that countdown show, that's what he was eating with his team, and it seemed like he was relaxed and happy because of it. It's also worth mentioning that the likes of Mayweather don’t even train to make weight. He just does what he enjoys doing – boxing – and the weight just naturally falls off. He’s probably in a better position than most to treat himself burgers here and there.
I know plenty of our boxers who are born to box. Doesn't matter how much **** they eat, or how hard they train...they could be off for 3 months and ate **** for virtually all of it. Their stamina, etc is not there in training. But once they are in between those ropes, their stamina, reflexes, everything are there instantly...because they love to box.
Yup, thats thing. When boxing is so natural/easy for you, theres no reason for you to be tense and use up a lot of energy because of nerves. Mentality, youre in a perfect state, and from that everything flows neatly. One of the many reasons why well never see Mayweather gas. **** is like walking in the park for him.
