Why have I heard people call Andre Ward arrogant?

I came here to talk about Boxing. It's a Boxing forum.

My only gripe is that race is not a relevant factor in this conversation. Some people take things as confidence, others see it as arrogance. It's people's opinion, not a racist hate movement.

 

I guess this is a fair point, I do notice remarks like this.

But does this mean you are a racist because you are disgusted by Chisora beating up his girlfriend?

That's borderline ******ed. Not liking some guy because he's arrogant can be completely independent of race and probably has more to do with how you feel like you would conduct yourself then anything else.

In another note, Ward's S.O.G nonsense does come off a bit grating. I like the way he fights, I think he's very talented, he even seems like a decent guy, I just wish he'd keep the religious hokum to himself. Quite frankly in this country there seems to be to much focus on the hereafter and not enough focus on the right damn now...er, maybe that's because it's an election year, sorry, I'm rambling.

Well, did I hear him say one time that the guy who is considered number #2 in the division was not "diserving" enough to fight him? It think I did, and I thought that was a little bit arrogant. Some people would say it is just a classic duck. But I think it is more an arrogant way to do it.

 

The same people who **** on Ward are the same that give Bute a pass for fighting bums, leftovers, and no-hopers these past few years, when Ward's comp has been FAR superior in that same time frame.

Also, people talk about his arrogance, but what about Froch? Froch is one of the most arrogant fighters in the world today, the **** he talks is ****ing crazy. But no one says anything about that.

Most of the hate towards Ward comes from Slappy fans, so you can't really take it too seriously; look who they admire.

 

I don't **** on Ward. You do **** on Bute though. That's how you operate all the time. Accusing any poster who has a different opinion of ******, racist, whatever they think, while you're the one being disrespectful.
