Can someone tell me why Alvarez appeals to so many boxing fans?

 

No idea, he has Black fans, UK fans, European fans, Mexican's of course, some cool PR have also showed some liking toward him... who knows. He is calm, respectful, and has a fan friendly style... just my guess.

To be fair they probably think they didn't do **** wrong, they got up there and fought for a title and won it...

I doubt they know that they were gifted the belt, same way as PACQUAIO doesn't probably even know that he was gifted his history making belt they just went out their and fought their heart out against an unranked opponent. I blame the promoters, they want to make their fighters unique and giving them belts does this..

He did earn though by facing Ryan Rhodes who IMO had a better chance then Roidsley

How could they not know? they know, you think they wouldn't know who are the top 3 fighters at a certain division? People all around them know the Boxing game, they noticed right away that they are not fighting a top 10 fighter IN THE DIVISION to get the tittle in that division.
