He needs a couple of tune up fights. A tough guy like this will at least fight back and test his fitness.

I like the fact that they are taking their time with him.

    Only his second fight...

Nothing wrong with a bum of the month run. This is what Pavlik needs - something to keep him in the gym and chances to keep knocking the rust off and sharpening things up in training. The opponent's level isn't important for the time being.

I am a big Calzaghe fan and he was a brilliant boxer. About the only boxer I would refuse to have for an avatar might be Monzon or Valero. Pavlik has rare abilitys even the greatest have to keep care of thier bodies, Pavlik is no different.

I love to watch Calazghe punch I think he has a real unique way of doing things. How many guys have you seen that resemble Calazaghe as far as punching goes? This guy never lost a fight and he was no imatation. The way he right hooks to the body and head, he has a style all his own. They broke the mould with Calazghe he was one of a kind.

Jaco and now Sigmon? Kelly isn't serious about climbing back to the top.

    This is BS.

From the sounds of it Sigmon is a bum, if thats the case I have to agree that its a bs fight. Only thing I can think of is Pavlik has to look real good his next fight on friday night fights. If it was a competive fight it might not be good, but I don't know about that.

If I don't see a something that indicates that Garcia is reworking his style a bit I'll be pissed. That is the only excuse for taking it that slow ffs. Not like Kelly is a green prospect. He's been in with the best in the world at his weight class.

What? Why? Going for an easily beatable name and then jumping into a huge fight would strike me as trying to get a pay day even if you weren't as prepared. I like this approach better. Let him get some lower level opponents and build back up gradually. Sigmon has had ten fights since the beginning of 2011, Jaco had ONE. And he had been knocked out by some guy with a losing record. I'm just boxwrecking (i like this term i just coined ) but Sigmon looks the next logical step up if you are taking it nice and slow.
