Yeah, I said ''down the line'', as in ''the majority of the time''.

Besides, Khan should have won that fight.

    Yes.

  7. I will add Lennox Lewis into the P4P discussion.

Lennox can fight on the inside or on the outside though so it's tough to decide on this question. Inside Lennox hurts you and end your career, outside Lennox embarrass you to the point you want to commit suicide

You need an education! If you really think it's that simple. . . FIrst off, Whitaker WAS NOT an "outside fighter" - he was a counter-puncher who often did majority of his most effective work on the inside. . . Same with James Toney. . > Hopkins as well.

Boxing does not equal "outside fighter" like you said. . . Although "hit and not get hit" is usually the best way to win a fight, boxing is ultiamtely about WINNING a fight. . . See Frazier vs. Ali I. . . Frazier weaves his way inside, and manages to stay in Ali's chest for majority of the fight, scoring the most effective punches. . . He also manages to avoid a lot of Ali's shots, or at least roll with them to lessen thte impact.

Chavez vs. Meldrick Taylor. . . Duran vs. Sugar Ray Leonard I. . . ANd last I checked, Chavez and Duran both had amazingly long careers. . . Both of these guys had some crazy technique on the inside. . .

If you take a guy with head movement, and a good jab, he'll be able to hit, and avoid getting hit just as much as a guy fighting off the back foot. . .

It's 50/50, depending on who can implement their fighting style, and utilize their strengths best. . . That's why it's the sweet science. . .

I'd say it depends on the ability of each fighter. Inside fighters get alot of stick for not being "boxers" but believe me, they can be ridiculously effective with it.

what the hell are you talking about? "boxing" is outside fighting. that's why they call guys like Ali, Robinson, Mayweather, etc are called "BOXERS". Whitaker's best punch was the jab, and he was one of the best backfoot fighters ever. What distances do you need to be at in order to play in reverse gear and effectively use the jab? on the inside? It's not Whitaker's fault he was a better infighter than the designated inside fighters of his time.

Ali got the better of Frazier throughout their trilogy

Leonard got the better of Duran throughout their trilogy

Mike Tyson got his AZZ kicked by Lennox

Duran is an exception. Chavez had a long career. Doesn't mean he had great longevity. Henry Armstrong, swarmer who is 2nd or 3rd best fighter of all time, lacked longevity of fellow ATG boxer Robinson. Mike Tyson famous for having no longevity.

why make the thread at all if you knew **** is 50/50? it is that simple. you can't handle the answer because **** is about equality in your lala land.

prime tyson vs. prime ali is a good example of this matchup. Although they have different attributes, tyson obviously got more power. But if given that they have the same attributes, I'd pick ali but don't think it would be easy for him because if they have the same attributes tyson can get to him and do a lot of damage inside particularly to the body
