OK, let's go ahead and call this a crises for Rios. Irrespective of what those blind men at ringside are scoring.

Abril knows how to neutralize a short puncher on the inside pretty effectively. Obviously he struggled against a long puncher in Prescott and a speedier guy than Rios in Lundy, but Rios seems made to order.

Said after Murray fight that the only difference between the two was Rios's power. That's definitely the case, ridiculous plodding by Rios. Can't seem to find a change up either so he's relying on finding a big punch from somewhere but that in itself won't even raise his stock after this schooling.

margo would have been throwing uppercuts from all different angles against a fighter like this

If Abril was a little more active from the outside he would look even more dominant

Abril seems to have caught onto the fact that when Rios is up close he's very one handed and one dimensional looking for left hooks. So he goes side on and catches all those left hooks on the gloves knowing full well Rios hasn't got the variety to pivot off to the side or take a step back and open up a different angle.

Even if Rios pulls this out, hard sell for the JMM fight based on this.

JMM always wiped the floor with him regardless of results.
